AZUR Camping Schwäbische Alb
AZUR Camping Schwäbische Alb is situated in the verdant countryside of the Swabian Alb and within reach of the state capital, Stuttgart. This site may be a good choice for families seeking a quiet, relaxing holiday with some activities available for children. There are 150 level grassy touring pitches, some shaded, 120 with 16A Europlugs.
Family - Resort Kleinenzhof
In the northern Black Forest, popular with walkers and cyclists alike, this large and busy site runs along the bank of a small but safe stream in a dramatic wooded valley. Of the 300 or so pitches, 100 of which are for tourers, all with 16A electricity and water and most with drainage. The four shower blocks are of the highest quality. In the middle of the site is a hotel, bar and restaurant complex, which incorporates indoor and outdoor pools available free to campers.
Camping Romantische Strasse
This popular tourist area can become very busy during summer when Romantische Strasse will be greatly appreciated for its peaceful situation in a wooded valley just outside the small village of Münster. There are 100 grass touring pitches (out of 140), many level, others with a small degree of slope. They are not hedged or fenced, in order to keep the natural appearance of the woodland. All the pitches have electricity (6A), some shade and are situated either side of a stream (fenced off from a weir at the far end of the site). Twenty-seven fully serviced pitches are on higher ground near reception.
Camping Belchenblick
This site stands at the gateway, via Münstertal, to the Black Forest. Not very high up itself, it is just at the start of the long road climb, which leads to the top of Belchen, one of the highest summits of the forest. The site has plenty of shade for the 230 pitches (182 for touring units), all with electrical connections (10/16A, some 2-pin) and TV (100 also have water). The site has recently undergone some modernisation, including improvements to some sanitary facilities.
Campingpark Bad Liebenzell
Privately owned, this former municipal site is attractively situated on the outskirts of the pleasant little spa town of Bad Liebenzell in the northeast Black Forest. The 250 pitches (150 for touring units) all have 16A electricity and are neatly arranged in rows on flat grass between hedges, trees and the good access roads. This is a well run and orderly site. The site is often full in high season when a reservation is advisable (if not reserved arrive early). There may be some noise from the nearby roads and railway.
AZUR Camping Wertheim am Main
Attractively located along the banks of the River Main, this site is just 2 km north of Wertheim, a picturesque medieval old town centred at the confluence of the Rivers Main and Tauber. The town is packed with timber-framed houses and is overlooked by Germany’s largest castle ruin. Rothenburg ob der Tauber dates from the Middle Ages and is steeped in heritage. Wine from the Franken area comes in a Bockbeutel, a uniquely shaped bottle best bought at one of the many vineyards. From the campsite, the River Main provides an ever-changing view as the cruise ships and barges slowly pass.
Campingplatz Bühlhof
Campingplatz Buhlhof in Hinterzarten, Baden-Württemberg is a large site and is the closest one to the town on Lake Titisee. Facilities are spotless, the staff are excellent, fees are cheap, and it is just a five-minute walk to Titisee, although the site is up quite a steep hill. There is an excellent pub on site and the food is delicious. The area is a must if you are visiting this part of Germany – the town is geared towards tourists and is a fun place to visit, the lake’s water quality is very good and the weather here is sunnier than most parts of Germany, although nights can be chilly as you are 900 metres above sea level.
Camping Weiherhof
Camping Weiherhof is a wooded, terraced, lakeside site set right on the western end of Lake Titesee with lovely views of the sun rise, steep wooded hills and across the lake to Titisee. This is a very pleasant natural site with plenty of shade from the pine trees, a lovely sandy strip of beach and shallow clear waters. There is so much to discover in the area plus only 1.5 hour’s drive to Europapark and the same to the Swiss border. The lakeside restaurant is great for breakfast and meals and the shop is well stocked, There is also an Aldi supermarket 10 mins drive. Plenty of hiking and mountain biking routes in the area. 20 mins walk into Titisee, where there are shops, restaurants, swimming pool, boat hire and pleasure cruises. Highly recommended for short stop over or long stays. The site has 150 touring pitches. Caravans and apartments available to rent
Campingplatz Langenwald
Situated in a region emerged in the ice age called Forbach-tal. The Camping Langenwald is more than 4 years run by the same family. The campsite is surrounded by trees and lies in the heart of the Black Forest. Hiking and mountainbiking are popular activities together with fishing and swimming.
Kaiserstuhl Camping
This established, family run site is close to the Rhine in a flat farming area. Access is through the municipal sports centre and may be a little restricted if a football match is in progress. The site has 200 good sized, level grass pitches for touring. Of these, 160 have electricity (16A) and 15 also have water and drainage. English is spoken and the family Breiss ensure the site is well managed and maintained. Dogs are accepted in part of the site only. It is well placed for trips to Europa Park, the Rhine and the Black Forest, as well as for walking and cycling.
Waldbad Camping Isny
Isny is a delightful spot for families and others looking for a peaceful stay in a very well-managed environment. The site has been developed to a high standard and lies just south of the village in a wood, by a lake. In an open area, there are about 50 individual hardstanding pitches (all with 16A electricity) with a circular access road. A café/restaurant serves snacks and meals from Tuesday to Sunday. It has a terrace that overlooks the lake, which is used for swimming (unsupervised). A low metal rail marks the area for non-swimmers, and there is a large grass sunbathing area. The site also offers a family play area.
Camping Carpe Diem
Camping Carpe Diem is situated in the Nagold Valley, near the medieval town of Stadt Wildberg is surrounded by extensive meadows, forests, clear brooks and rivulets. You will find the site in the middle of the northern Black Forest, to be an ideal starting point for many delightful and cultural outings. It has ninety pitches each provided with electricity and water connections. There is also a swimming pool, children’s play area and a snack bar with typical German food. There is a cycle track of approx. one hundred kilometres, ideal for your family to go on a skating or cycling adventure. Caravan, mobile home and log cabin available to hire. The site has 130 touring pitches with electric hook-up 16amp, 20 of which are seasonal. There are also mobile homes and log cabins available to hire.
Camping Seewiese
Camping Seewiese is located directly on the Illmensee lake in Illmensee, Baden-Württemberg. The campsite is currently undergoing renovations, with a new sanitary building expected to be completed by the end of June 2024. In the meantime, they are offering a temporary sanitary solution. On-site, there are 40 touring pitches available with 16Amp electric hook-up points. Pitches are spacious and are delimited by mature hedging, giving privacy to each pitch. Trees provide ample shade during the summer, and some have lake views. 
Terrassen-Camping Sandbank
This is a pleasant site overlooking Lake Titisee in this lovely area of the Black Forest. There are marked pitches for touring units, all with electricity (16A Europlug) and on gravel terraces with good views over the lake. Pitches located directly on the lakesideare available.Trees provide good shade in some parts. The small town of Titisee Hochschwarzwald is a 20 minute walk along the lakeside and with the attractions of this part of the Forest near – Freiburg, the Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen, the source of the Danube at Donaueschingen, Basle in Switzerland – it is ideal for a long or short stay. Access to the lake is possible for swimming, boating and carp fishing.
Campingplatz Cannstatter Wasen
This is an attractively modernised, well managed, municipal city site next to the Cannstatter Wasen fairground. Situated in the outskirts of the city, but only a ten minute drive from the centre and with bus and train links just 500 m. away, it is a very convenient location. Completely fenced, the site is beside the River Neckar, with a walkway into the city, and is surprisingly green, with pretty flower beds, bushes and trees. Even though all the 234 pitches are on hardstanding, they appear green with grass growing through the honeycomb tiles. They are unmarked, have electricity hook-ups and 25 also have water and waste water connections. A separate grassy area for tents is in one corner.
Rhein Camping Waldshut
Rhein-Camping Waldshut is a quiet site just south of the Black Forest, a 10-minute drive to Waldshut-Tiengen. The site is in a well-located spot in the Waldshut district of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Boat trips and fishing are close by, and the site is close to public amenities including an outdoor pool edged by a spacious sunbathing area, a miniature golf course with river views and a playground. But that’s not to say the park’s lacking its own facilities.
Campingplatz Hirtenteich
Campingplatz Hirtenteich lies around 50 km east of Stuttgart, nestling among wooded hills and adjoining fertile fields and just outside the village of Lauterburg. This is the centre of the UNESCO Geopark Swabian Alb, complete with cave systems, castles, rock formations, nature reserves and picturesque old villages and market towns. It's ideal for those who love to get out and about - especially hiking and cycling. There's a wide choice of mountain bike downhill routes through forests and meadows. Visit Charlottenhöhle Cave Adventure World, Steiff Toy Museum in Giengen an der Brenz and the outdoor activities at Skypark epia Kletterwald in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Shopping is available in Aalen, Schwäbisch Gmünd and Heidenheim.
Camping Bankenhof
This peacefully located, fairly informal woodland site, with a friendly atmosphere, is situated just beyond the western end of Lake Titisee. The 180 pitches are on sparse grass and gravel, with some shade from a variety of trees, and 30 are occupied by seasonal units. The site is generally level, although there is a separate grassy area for tents which does have a slight slope. Most pitches have electric hook-ups (16A), with gravel roads, and water taps for each area. Recent work has greatly improved the pitch layout. Although there is some site lighting a torch might be useful for the darker areas under the trees.
Schwarzwaldcamping Alisehof
Alisehof is a pleasant site quite high up in the heart of the Black Forest, about 20 km. from Freudenstadt. In an attractive, generally peaceful setting in a wooded valley (daytime noise from the adjacent saw-mill is possible) it is away from the main routes and big towns, with walks starting from the site. The 150 individually numbered pitches vary in size from moderate to quite large and all have electricity (16A). Arranged in rows on terraces (the slope is only steep towards the top), 110 pitches on the lower slopes are available for touring units. In high season there is an entertainment programme for children and organised walks for adults.

Baden-Württemberg

The Black Forest, or Schwarzwald, is famous the world over for its mountains, forests, thermal springs and spa resorts. Towards the French border romantic castles perch high on the steep slopes above the Rhine. These vine-clad hills together with the Moselle region are renowned for their quality white wines.
