The main part of the site is located behind a dyke and contains reception and the principal sanitary facilities. Pitches bordering and overlooking The Elbe are serviced by excellent, modern mobile sanitary units containing WCs and washbasins. Next to the site’s main building there is a further area set aside for touring units and this has easy access to the main sanitary facilities, the bar and restaurant and children’s playground.
Erholungsgebiet Doktor-See
Erholungsgebiet Doktor-See is a large site near the town of Rinteln, on the Weser River around the Doktorsee lake. This hilly landscape with alternating agricultural and natural areas, many small towns and villages with picturesque half-timbered houses, has a friendly atmosphere. The first impression of the site is overwhelming. This is because of the enormous proportions of the grounds. The grounds are well kept, and the 1400 pitches are average in size and mostly located around the edge of the lake. Around the lake are a number of holiday cottages and mobile homes. There is also a marina, a motorboat club and a church.
Camping Am Waldbad
Am Waldbad is a laid-back campsite nestled in the rolling hills and woods of the Weserbergland, just 4 kilometers from Hameln. If you crave independence and enjoy exploring, this is your perfect camping escape. Surrounded by nature, charming towns, historic castles, and villages, the campsite offers a vibrant outdoor experience. Its name reflects its idyllic location at the forest’s edge, adjacent to a refreshing swimming pool. The site itself is perched on a hill overlooking a spacious open field.
Camping Paradies Gruner Jager
Grüner Jäger is a welcoming campsite nestled in the heart of the northern German countryside. It's more than just a stopover; it's a place to unwind and explore. The Everinghausen nature reserve is right on your doorstep, offering opportunities for cycling, swimming, and immersing yourself in nature. For a change of scenery, a day trip to Bremen is easily accessible. While the campsite enjoys a tranquil rural setting, its proximity to the A1 motorway ensures convenient arrival.
Knaus Campingpark Bleckede
This welcoming site is in the middle of the bio reserve of the Elbtalaue, an excellent area for walking and cycling. The site provides 225 pitches (142 for tourers), all with a minimum of 6A electricity. Pitching is in long lanes off hard roads on grassy fields (some slightly sloping, some on terraces). There are two fully serviced pitches. To the front of the site are a shop and a large room for activities, where you can also have breakfast. Adjacent to the site are the open-air public pool (free for campers) and tennis courts. Being in a reserve, you will find plenty of information about the local flora and fauna on and around the site, including a special ‘hotel’ for bees.
Uhlenköper-Camp Uelzen
The Körding family have owned this site since 2001 and have recently been joined by their son and his family to further improve the site. Their efforts are evident with electricity connections, water taps and 85 touring pitches. Of these, 40 are fully serviced with 16A electricity, water and drainage. The pitches are arranged in seven grassy areas, each taking eight to ten units, with a separate field to one side for cyclists. Pitches are 80-100 sq.m. with shade from high bushes and some trees. To the rear of the site are some rental and private static caravans. The site also features some genuinely innovative glamping options.
Erholungspark Irenensee
This is an attractively landscaped site set around a shallow lake dotted with islands. With over 700 pitches, there are 161 reserved for touring units, all with 16A electricity, fresh water supply and drainage. The pitches are 125 sq.m. in size, arranged on level grass, either in open areas or surrounded by hedges. Large grass areas surround the lake which provides for swimming, sailing and windsurfing. Paddle boats are for hire, but motor boats are not permitted. One small area of the lake is separated off for use by small children.
Camping Silberborn
Campsite Silberborn is a very dog friendly site located in Hochsolling, in the beautiful world of fairy tales and legends. Here the Weser meanders gracefully through shore landscapes with cozy half-timbered houses, farms, idyllic villages and beautiful towns, so popular with cyclists. In the middle of the Hochsolling Nature Park lies the small village of Silberborn. Wonderful hiking trails invite you to a hike. The nearby raised bog has rare plant species, a settled herd of raised bog ponies and a herd of stern moor cattle.
Regenbogen Egestorf
Regenbogen Egestorf is south of Hamburg, quietly located in woods forming part of the moors on the edge of the Lüneberger Heide National Park. The extensive surrounding moorland is delightful in Spring, with wild flowers on all sides, and in Summer with blossom all around. There are 480 pitches (240 for touring units), all with 10/16A (Europlug) electricity. The generally very spacious touring pitches are on sloping ground shaded by trees. They are level and some have hardstanding for caravans and motorhomes. The site’s location makes it an excellent base for walking and cycling on the moors.
Campingplatz Weserbergland
Set amidst glorious rolling countryside, some 80 km south of Hanover, this is an immaculate site on the banks of the Weser river and located between Holzminden and Polle. It is a credit to its Dutch owners Jan and Astrid Reus who have owned it for several years and their passion for making it a great place to stay is evident throughout. The river is the obvious highlight of the site, with plenty of birdlife. It is a quiet site, perfect for a relaxing holiday and ideal for both couples and families with young children.
Knaus Camping Dorum/Nordsee
Knaus Camping Dorum is on the North Sea beaches in the holiday region of Cuxland/Wurster. The site is directly in front of the dyke on the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea nature reserve. It is an open site with flat grassy pitches (120 for tourers, 100 with 6A Europlug) up to 150 sq. m. off gravel access lanes. Pitches to the front have views over the sea. This site can become a suntrap in hot weather as there are no trees. Next to the Dorum site is an enclosed area with kiosks, fish stands, Italian ice cream and takeaway food. A few hundred metres away is a modern open-air pool, and in between is an indoor play hall for younger children. In all, an ideal site for a beach holiday on the North Sea.
Camping Wilsumer Berge
This is a very large site close to the Dutch border and based around a lake, with a sandy beach area where youngsters like to swim and splash in the shallows. The campsite is set within a nature reserve, surrounded by forest and open heathland, providing a haven for wildlife.
Camping Hümmlinger Land
Camping Hümmlinger Land is located on the outskirts of Werlte and close to one of the longest megalithic tombs in Germany, the so-called “Hoogen Stainer”. The campsite has its own free 'Barefoot Path', minigolf, billiards and a sauna (extra charges). This award-winning site has around 60 touring pitches. Sleeping barrels, a shepherd's hut and a tree tent are available to rent.

If you're holidaying with a caravan, a motorhome or a tent this is the ideal site for you. Mobile caravan owners can dispose of sewage and waste-water and refill their tanks with fresh water at the service point. This service is free of charge for guests staying for two or more nights. For travellers staying for less than two nights a small fee is charged for the use of this service. Guests can also reserve one of their rentable caravans, which can be found on a separate site.
Wohnmobil-Stellplatz an der Sole-Therme
This site accepts only motorhomes. There are no toilet facilities, only showers, so units must be self-contained. It is open all year round and welcomes 70 units on its hard surface, but between May and October numbers are increased to 80, 50 with electricity hook-ups. It is a verdant site with abundant trees (but little shade) and units are arranged around an attractive pond. It is popular with visitors to Bad Harzburg’s thermal spa, Harz National Park and the cable-car at Castle Mountain. There are some good walks direct from the site.
Campingpark Lüneburger Heide
Campingpark Luneburger Heide is situated at the heart of the Bremen, Hamburg, Hanover triangle. If you love peace and quiet and an appealing ambience, this is the place for you. On site there are many beautiful details, which have been built with a lot of passion, hay houses, petting zoo which is home to goats, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs, and finally the planting around the lake and around the reception. If you are looking for "action", this is not the place for you. The touring pitches have a fresh water and wastewater connection. The two toilet buildings are spotlessly clean. On a warm day, there's nothing nicer than being able to cool off in the water, and the lake next to the site is perfect for it. There is a large sandy beach where you can build sandcastles, plus a sunbathing lawn. A stay here would not be complete without a visit to the Lüneburg Heath. There is a pick-up point next to the site for the 'Heide Shuttle', which takes guests to the heart of the Heath free of charge. In high season, night owls can also visit the Heath in the evenings with a ranger. All excursions are organised from the site and are suitable for the whole family.

Over 250 km. of cycle routes have been laid out in the vicinity, and of course one can try the famous Wad Walking (bring your oldest clothes) to get as close as possible to the wildlife.
