This large site is spread over 9 hectares and has 400 pitches, 200 of which have 6Amp electric hook-up points available, and some have great views of the water. Each pitch is delimited and well-shaded by mature poplar and pine trees, which are needed during the Italian summer.

Eurocamping Calvisio
This is a pleasant, well maintained site with a good swimming pool. The pool is overlooked by 35 rental apartments that form part of a block that also houses the bar and restaurant area. The site is popular with Italian, Dutch and German holidaymakers and booking is essential in high season. The touring pitches are quite small, ranging from 30 to 70 sq.m. and access to some would be difficult for larger units. All the pitches have water and 6A electricity. The location of this site is quite remote and a free shuttle minibus to the beach and to Finale Ligure is operated by the site at pre-defined times during the day.
Camping Villaggio Smeraldo
Camping Smeraldo is a unique and simple site near the seaside town of Moneglia. It has been formed out of a cliff face and was once the site for railway workers. Touring pitches (25) and tent pitches (35) are provided on hard terraces overlooking the sea. Electricity (3A) and artificial shade are available. A number of two- and three-bedroom chalets are also available to rent. On-site amenities are limited; a basic shop and a café/restaurant. The restaurant and its terrace provide fine sea views which are extra special on moonlit evenings. The owners are very friendly and helpful and English is spoken.
Camping Dei Fiori
This is a small, family owned site with limited facilities, situated some 550 metres from the beach in an old olive orchard and charging average prices for your stay. A road runs past the entrance and the restaurant terrace is partly overlooked by an elevated section of this road. There are 232 pitches, some very small, with lots of seasonal pitches for Italian campers, and some bungalows. The 60 level touring pitches are mainly on the lower terraces of the site, with some shade and 6A electricity. Some of the smallest pitches may be challenging when manoeuvring with large units.

Around 60 touring pitches, with 3A electricity, are in a square at the bottom of the site, some with shade and views, and cars are parked separately. There are about 80 permanent pitches on the upper reaches of the site. Camping Valdeiva does have a small swimming pool, which is very welcome if you do not wish to take the free bus to the beach. A small busy bar/restaurant offers food at realistic prices.

There is a free private shuttle service to the beach and to the railway station to explore the region. The owners are diligent, keen to please and speak good English. There is a pleasant atmosphere at this small, uncomplicated site just 3 km. from the sea. It would particularly suit those who like different types of watersports.
Villaggio dei Fiori
Camping Villaggio dei Fiori is open all year round. This open and spacious site is a member of the Sunêlia group and maintains very high standards. It is excellent for exploring the Italian and French Rivieras, a guided tour to Monte Carlo in particular, or for just relaxing by the enjoyable, filtered seawater pools or on the private beach. Unusually, all of the pitch areas at the site are totally paved, with huge pitches for large units. Electricity (3/6A) is available to all 107 pitches. Water, drainage and an outside sink with cold water is available for every four pitches in one area. There is ample shade on some pitches from mature trees and shrubs, which are constantly watered and cared for in summer. The pitches along the seafront are superb and enjoy great views. This is an excellent site and we loved it here!
Camping Framura
Framura is an unusual, small, cliff-side site of 170 pitches including just 15 pitches for touring units and ten for tents. Positioned on the site of the old railway, the pitches themselves are fabulous as they are directly above the crystal clear waters here, but there is no shade. Access to the site is through the old railway tunnel. The supporting amenities are basic but have a certain charm, some being cut into the rock face. Direct access to a narrow but pleasant beach is via a steep stairway. The site is considered unsuitable for children and the infirm and has no accessible facilities.
Camping C’era una Volta
An attractive campsite, C’era una Volta is about 6 km. back from the sea, situated on a hillside with panoramic views. The 165 touring pitches are on terraces in different sections of the site. Varying in size, most have shade from the young trees which harbour crickets with their distinctive noise. Some of the upper pitches have good views. Cars are required to park in separate areas at busy times. There are electricity connections, with water and drainage close by. Charges are high in season but the site has an enjoyable atmosphere and is a good choice for families.
Camping Baciccia
This friendly, family run site is a popular holiday destination. Baciccia was the nickname of the present owner’s grandfather who grew fruit trees and tomatoes on the site. Tall eucalyptus trees shade the 111 flat touring pitches (all with electricity 6A). The managers work tirelessly to ensure that you enjoy your stay here and we have watched the growth of a very effective campsite over the years. An informal restaurant, overlooking the swimming pool and sports area, is cheerfully and efficiently run, it serves delightful, seasonal Italian dishes.

An area of the public beach is set aside with deck chairs and sun shades (payment required). The site does not have a swimming pool. Access is through the centre of the town and considerable care is needed on your approach and into the site. Touring pitches are small, with little shade and cars are required to be parked in designated areas.

Ligúria

Ligúria is a long, thin coastal strip nestling at the foot of olive- and vine-clad mountains. The Italian Riviera boasts an abundance of sandy beaches and charming seaside villages, while inland the mountain resorts offer plenty of walking and a respite from the crowds.

Portofino

Ligúria divides neatly into two distinct stretches of coastline: to the west is the Riviera di Ponente and to the east is the Riviera Levante. Between the two lies Genoa, Italy’s biggest port. It has a fascinating old town with medieval alleyways, and numerous palaces and churches to explore. It was also once the home of Christopher Columbus. The surrounding hills offer a quiet retreat from the city: the picturesque Valle Scrivia has several hiking routes and is easily accessible from the small town of Casella.

Stretching across to the French border, the Riviera di Ponente has a number of places of interest: the pretty wine producing town of Dolceacqua; the pleasant resort of San Remo; the charming seafront village of Cervo; and the medieval hilltown of Toirano. There are more coastal resorts  along the Riviera Levante including Portofino, the most exclusive harbour and resort town in Italy. With sandy beaches and small coves, this attractive area also offers good walking.

Further along is the coastline of the Cinque Terre (Five Lands). The name refers to five tiny villages which appear to cling dramatically to the edge of sheer cliffs: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manrola and Riomaggiore.

The region has four provinces: Genoa, Imperia, La Spezia and Savona.
