Pandy Caravan and Motorhome Club site is a level, luscious green site, scattered with impressive mature trees, located at the western boundary of the River Honddu. Visitors to the site are treated to the majestic Skirrid, which greets all early risers with its imposing presence. Abergavenny is a treat for all newcomers with its ancient castle being a particular highlight and a food festival that takes place in September. Please note, a railway line runs adjacent to the site and main line trains do run through the night. On occasions steam trains pass and cause great interest. The site has 50 grass/hardstanding pitches all with 16 amp electricity.
This family run park is located in a village four miles from Monmouth. The Bridge Caravan Park was established in 1979, being a working farm until a few years ago. Over half the park is taken up by seasonal long stay pitches. The touring area is to one side, edged by the river at a lower level. Neat, level grass accessed by a circular tarmac roadway provides 33 pitches for caravans and motorhomes, with 10A electricity and 16 hardstandings. A further 20 places for tents are available, all with 5A electricity. In busy periods the site may be cramped with little room between units, yet a friendly atmosphere prevails. Still in the hands of the Holmes family, it provides a rural site bordered by the River Trothy and woodland on one side, and by the farm buildings and church on the other.
Glen Trothy is a pretty park on the banks of the River Trothy and visitors are greeted by an array of colourful flowerbeds and tubs around the entrance and reception area. Three fields provide level touring and tent pitches. The first and largest field has a circular gravel road with seasonal pitches arranged on the outer side and touring pitches on the inner side. These have slabs for vehicle wheels and electricity hook-ups. The second field, just past the toilet block, has pitches for trailer tents and tents only (16 with electricity), whilst the camping field is for tents only (no cars are allowed on this area).
Three Castles Country Caravan Park is a small, 12-pitch caravan and camping site just for adults, surrounded by serene countryside between Abergavenny and Monmouth in South Wales. The site has grass tent pitches, touring pitches and full-service pitches, all with electric and TV hook-ups. This is a truly wonderful part of Wales for walking and cycling as well as a base for touring The Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and the Brecon Beacons. The site is a member of the Tranquil Sites Group.
Pont Kemys is an attractive, peaceful touring park neatly arranged on the banks of the River Usk, only four miles from the town of the same name. There are 65 touring pitches, both on grass and with hardstanding, arranged around the perimeter of the park and within the central area. All have 16A electric hook-ups and TV connections. An adult only area provides 21 fully serviced pitches and a separate area is dedicated to tents. This is a quiet site with few amenities. Reception contains a small shop selling basic provisions, plus gas and camping supplies. The Chainbridge pub and a bar/restaurant at the local golf club are within walking distance.
