Camping le Domaine d’Oléron is a neat, well presented and well-managed site where you will receive a warm and friendly welcome from Anneke and Freddy who speak excellent English. The site is set in a peaceful rural location between Saint Pierre and Saint Georges and is part of the Chadotel group.
There are around 170 pitches of which 60 are for touring units. The pitches are generously sized (100-150 sq.m) and are mostly sunny, level and easily accessible, all with 10A electricity. The site is just 3 km. from the beach and the Forest of Saumonards. The local port, shops and restaurants are also nearby.
Boat trips are available to see Fort Boyard, Ile d’Aix and La Rochelle.
Facilities at Le Domaine d’Oléron
Two modern sanitary blocks include accessible facilities. Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Snack bar and takeaway, bar with TV (all seasonal). Bread is delivered daily. Swimming pool with slides (seasonal). Adventure-style play area. Six pétanque lanes. Bicycle hire. Organised entertainment two or three times a week in July/Aug. Gas barbecues only on pitches, communal areas for charcoal. WiFi over site (charged). Max. 1 dog per pitch.
Directions to Le Domaine d’Oléron
Take D734 to St Pierre. Turn right in St Pierre after Leclerc supermarket. At next roundabout turn left towards Le Bois Fleury. After passing airfield, turn right and left and site is on the left.
