Castel Camp de Florence is an attractive and well-equipped site on the edge of a historic village in pleasantly undulating Gers countryside. The 180 large, part terraced pitches (110 for touring units) all have 10A electricity, 20 with hardstanding and 16 fully serviced. They are arranged around a large field with rural views, feeling spacious.

The 13th-century village of La Romieu is on the Santiago de Compostela pilgrims’ route. The Pyrenees are a two hour drive, the Atlantic coast a similar distance. There is a 500m2 swimming pool perfect for relaxing and enjoying the games the animation team hold here during the day. There is a kids club with sporting activities, crafts, and hours of fun. During the evening, everyone can get involved with the activities and enjoy live music.

The Collegiate church, a UNESCO World Heritage monument, is visible from the site and well worth visiting (the views from the top of the tower are magnificent). The local arboretum has the most extensive collection of trees in the Midi-Pyrénées. The site has been developed by the friendly Mijnsbergen family. They have sympathetically converted the old farmhouse buildings to provide facilities for the site. The campsite has everything you need for an unforgettable holiday.

A large number of walking, cycling and mountain-biking maps, starting directly from the Camp de Florence, are available in reception free of charge. Numerous walks directly from the site, from a short stroll to an all-day ramble. Le Camp de Florence is on the Saint Jacques de Compostella pilgrims' way, and it is possible to walk parts of this historical route. Mountain bike routes from the site, with three levels of difficulty. Electric bikes for hire. There is a children's club six days a week in July and August. Popular activities include a treasure hunt, an evening swim with music and dancing, and a pancake party.

Directions to Le Camp de Florence

Site signed from D931 Agen-Condom road. Small units turn left at Ligardes (signed), follow D36 for 1 km, turn right at La Romieu (signed). Otherwise continue to outskirts of Condom and take D41 left to La Romieu, through village to site.
