La Côte de Nacre is a large, popular, commercial site with many facilities, all of a high standard. It is an ideal holiday location for families. Two-thirds are given over to mobile homes (approx 350), and there are four tour operators on the site. The 120 touring pitches are reasonable, both in size and condition, all having 10A electricity, water and drainage. There is some hedging and a few trees, and pleasant, well cared for flowerbeds. The state of the art, heated pool complex includes both open and covered (sliding roof) areas, slides, whirlpools and water jets, and on a hot day becomes the focal point of the campsite.

The small seaside town of Saint Aubin-sur-Mer with its delightful old town buildings is ten minutes away, and the lovely promenade, perfect for brisk walks and a stop for coffee or beer, is only a few minutes further. Also, one must not forget this beautiful coastline is famous for the D-Day Landings, with museums, memorials and numerous ceremonies taking place around 6th June. This town’s beach was the landing place for the Canadians in 1944 and there is a memorial on the seafront.

Location

Travel west from Ouistreham on D514 to St Aubin-sur-Mer. Site is well signed, to the left, just off the main road in a residential area. Take care as signage is small and you are in an urban area with no turning back.
