Alan Rogers Review
Camp Arcadia is located close to a sandy beach and small marina on the outskirts of Privlaka, near the town of Zadar. The attractive promenade and sea are accessed from the site by a couple of stairs. In the high season, a cocktail bar/cafe provides drinks next to the small, unfenced, heated infinity pool.
The site has 12 hardstanding touring pitches with a 16 amp electric hook-up and free WiFi. Pitches are a mixture of standard (x8) or large pitches (x4) and are about 7m deep. The standard pitches are small by UK standards (approximately 4m wide) and more suitable for campervans and smaller motorhomes. Around 7m wide, the large pitches are more suited to caravans with awnings. The eight pitches nearest the pool and bar have now been given over to accommodation units that are operated by a third party.
The village itself is undergoing a period of rapid development and becoming much more urbanised. A security barrier is located outside the purpose-built reception building, which was unstaffed when we inspected the site early in the season. However, the manager, Ian, lives close to the site, and the site is staffed all day in the high season when the bar/cafe is open.
The modern toilet block has showers, washbasins & WCs. Facility for visitors who are disabled. Bar. Outdoor heated swimming pool. BBQ’s allowed, charcoal, gas & electric. Beach adjacent. Dogs allowed. Wi-Fi free. Earliest arrival time 13:00. There is no motorhome disposal point, other than a manhole that can be used by arrangement with the manager. A domestic style washing machine is available and is free to use.
The final approach to the site is narrow in places, and at the time of our most recent visit, a number of local diversions were in place. The section of road from the D306 to Put Mula is particularly narrow, and arrival before check-in opens at 13:00 should be avoided to reduce the chance of meeting traffic leaving the site.
From A1 highway take exit 17-Zadar toward Zadar and after paying a toll, turn left onto Jadranska Magistrala (D8) and go straight for 9.8 km. You will see signs for Vir and Nin and then turn right onto Županijska Cesta 6011 (Ž6011) and drive for 10.3 km. Ž6011 becomes Kraljičin Put for 0.7 km. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Vukovarska ul. (0.2 km) then turn right onto Put Grgura Ninskog (1 km) and continue onto D306 for 2.6 km. Here you should see the first ARCADIA road sign that will take you left onto Put Sebačeva, left again and then first right towards Mletak. After 0.3 km you need to take a sharp turn left onto Put Mula and then continue straight, passing over a 'stop' road marking, until you reach the site entrance on the right at the bottom of the slope.Link to campsite location map on google
