Cong Camping Caravan & Glamping Park
It would be difficult to find a more idyllic and famous spot for a caravan park than Cong. Situated close to the shores of Lough Corrib, Cong’s scenic beauty was immortalised in the film, The Quiet Man. This well kept park is 1.6 km. from the village of Cong, near the grounds of the magnificent and renowned Ashford Castle. 
Gurteen Bay Caravan and Camping Park
Gurteen Bay Caravan and Camping Park is just 50 m. from the beach and the sea, with fantastic views of the bay and a beautiful surrounding area. It offers 80 touring pitches, which occupy three sections throughout the site. All have 6A electricity, and water taps are provided throughout the site. There are also two apartments and two houses available to rent here.
Lough Key Caravan & Camping Park
This caravan and camping park is set deep in the 320 hectares of the Lough Key Forest Park. Comprising mixed woodland including giant red cedar, beech, ash and oak trees, the forest is bounded by Lough Key and incorporates several of its islands.
Salthill Caravan Park
Salthill Caravan Park was opened in 1960 and has been run by the O'Malley family ever since. The park comprises five mobile homes and a three-acre campsite near the water's edge. The park has superb views over Galway Bay and has access to a shingle beach, just 100 m. distant. The 49 touring pitches are grassy and open, all with 10A electrical connections and 35 hardstanding. Salthill Caravan and Camping Park has several facilities, including a communal camper kitchen Complete with cookers, microwave, coffee tea facilities, sinks with hot & cold running water, and table and chairs for dining, which is beside the reception available 24 hours for all guests to use. There is also a children's playground and games room for the younger campers.
Renvyle Beach Caravan and Camping Park
Renvyle Beach Caravan and Camping Park is a family-owned site since 1967 by the current owner's father. The Campsite is located on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean with views of Clare Island, Inishturk, Achill, Mweelrea and Croagh Patrick. It has direct access to its own sandy beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Connemara. Dolphins can often be seen from the shore.
Carrowkeel Camping & Caravan Park
What appeals most about this campsite is its quiet, ‘heart of the countryside’ location and well-kept appearance. Attractively laid out amidst undulating grass areas, trees and shrubs are 28 touring pitches on hardstanding (16A electricity) and a designated area for 30 tents. Adjacent to the camping area stand several buildings which are gradually being refurbished. These house reception, shop, a clubhouse serving meals and takeaway food, also a campers’ kitchen and games room. For children, there is a play area, and for fishers, the Clydagh River borders this 3.5-acre site.
Carra Caravan & Camping Park
This is an ideal location for those seeking a real Irish village experience in a ‘value for money’ park. Small, unpretentious and family-run, it is located in Belcarra, a regular winner of the Tidiest Mayo Village award. Nestling at the foot of a wooded drumlin, it is surrounded by rolling hills and quiet roads, which offer an away from it all feeling, yet Castlebar, the county’s largest town, is only 8 km away. The owner, Pat, and her daughter, Deirdre, are proud of their locality and give occasional talks on the area.
Westport House Caravan & Camping Park
Located in the grounds of an elegant country estate, this is a popular park. In an attractive, sheltered area of the parkland, set in the trees, are 95 pitches, 70 with hardstanding and 10/12A electricity. Outside the peak season, the site may not be fully open, and some facilities, such as the bar and café, may not be available.
Lough Lannagh Caravan Park
Lough Lannagh is an attractive holiday village on the lakeshore, which comprises quality accommodation, self-catering cottages and a caravan park. A lakeside path takes you into Castlebar (15-minute stroll) with its many restaurants, pubs, theatres and shops. County Mayo’s main attractions are also within a short drive.
Belleek Park Caravan & Camping
Belleek has a quiet woodland setting, only minutes from Ballina, a famed salmon fishing centre. With excellent pitches and toilet block, the family owners are committed to ensuring that it is immaculate at all times. From the entrance gate, the park is approached by a drive that passes reception and leads to 80 well-spaced pitches.
Keel Sandybanks Caravan and Camping Park
This park offers a taste of island life and the opportunity to relax in dramatic, scenic surroundings. Achill, Ireland’s largest island, is 24 km. long and 19 km. wide and is connected to the mainland by a bridge. The wide-open site is situated beside the Blue Flag beach near Keel Village. Although static holiday mobile homes are on this site, the 84 touring pitches are kept separate. There are 50 pitches with hardstanding, and some are located at the perimeter fence overlooking the beach. Although sand-based, the ground is firm and level. Roads are tarmac, and there is direct access to the beach, which lifeguards supervise.
Galey Bay Caravan and Camping Park
Gailey Bay Caravan & Camping Park is a family-run campsite located on the shores of Lough Ree in County Roscommon, Ireland and just a short distance from Roscommon Town. The park is an expanse of more than 1 hectare with 27 pitches with a mixture of grass and hardstanding to choose from. They also have electric hook-up points available. It includes a range of guest facilities, including a lounge with a TV, a games room with pool table and a communal campers kitchen. The little ones can also enjoy the children's playground.
Clifden Campsite and Caravan Park
Clifden Campsite and Caravan Park was established in 1983 and prides itself on its warm welcome and relaxed vibe. It's perfect for families looking for a classic camping experience. Nestled in a sheltered valley at the foot of the Twelve Ben Mountains, the campsite offers stunning scenery and a sense of peace and tranquillity. There are 42 Big hardstanding pitches with electric hook up points available and have grassy areas next to each. On the lower levels, setting up an awning next to your unit might be a bit of a tight squeeze, as there are rocks next to the pitches. You'll be surrounded by lush greenery and protected from the Atlantic winds.
Willowbrook Glamping & Hideaways
Nestled in the north of County Roscommon, Willowbrook Glamping & Hideaways offers a serene retreat for those seeking a blend of nature and comfort. The fifteen touring pitches are spacious and well-maintained. These are split between 3 prices: Rabbit Village, which is ideal for small tents and campervans who don't require electricity; Robins Nest, which has powered pitches; and Mootown, which is suitable for larger motorhomes or small groups. The site has excellent facilities, including clean, well-maintained washrooms, hot showers, and a well-equipped kitchen area. The attention to detail in maintaining these facilities is evident throughout the site. The site has been in the family since the mid-90s, with Tuesday and Wes taking over from David and Lin in 2019. Since then, they have introduced a number of glamping options, including yurts, two of which have a wood-fired hot tub.

West

The west of Ireland has lots to offer. Mayo alone has more than 3,000 historic and archaeological sites including great houses, ancient abbeys and castles plus over a dozen Blue Flag beaches. Further south the vibrant city of Galway has many attractions – beautiful buildings, medieval streets, shops and of course the famous Galway oyster festival.
