Alan Rogers Review
Soustons Village is situated in the heart of the vast Landes pine forest. It is close to Soustons and its huge lake and around six kilometres from the Atlantic beaches. There are 282 pitches, all occupied by chalet-style mobile homes and other rentable accommodation. There are no touring pitches. The site does have an impressive pool complex with a wave pool and wet play area. There is little natural shade but this is provided in the bar areas. Clubs for children are well organised, with different ages catered for. In order to preserve a pleasant, tranquil aspect, cars must be left in a separate parking area at all times.
There is direct access to the large network of surfaced cycle tracks which run through the large Landes pine forest. The small town of Soustons is around two kilometres away and is a pleasant spot with a number of restaurants and cafés. The on-site spa provides personalised treatments, and there is a well equipped gym with trained staff. There is a good golf course at Pinsolle, and the stylish resort of Biarritz, with its luxury shops and cafés is around 50 km. to the south. The Spanish border and Pyrenees are a little further.
