The owners of one of Ireland’s neatest parks, George and Rosaline Drew, are campers themselves and have created an idyllic park in a stunning location. This three-hectare park is set in one of Ireland’s most picturesque valleys. From every pitch, there are beautiful views of the wooded and hilly areas of Slievenamuck and the Galtee Mountains.
This neat and tidy seaside site is located just one kilometre from the dramatic cliffs of Moher, a UNESCO Global Geopark, and just a few metres from the ferry, which zips across to the sparsely populated Aran Islands in 20 minutes. The nearby village of Doolin, famed for its traditional music, has a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs with lively, impromptu music sessions. Walkers and nature lovers will be in their element here, with wonderful trails and signposted coastal walks along the eight-kilometre headland. From here, there are magnificent panoramic views out to the Aran Islands and spectacular seascapes over the bay to Connemara.

Powers The Pot Camping & Caravan Park is a family-run campsite nestled in the Comeragh Mountains, near Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland. The site has 37pitches, of which 20 are for touring and have electrical hook-up points available. It is relatively level and quite sheltered as tall trees surround it. The campsite is open to the elements a lot of the time, but when the weather subsides, there are great views of the surrounding area. The wind increases exponentially as you go down the hill so it is best to stay at the top of the site. On-site facilities include a basic shower block with plenty of hot water and are no extra charge. There is a communal kitchen with a kettle and fridges and a gas stove so everything you would need to cook a meal here if you didn't want to venture out whilst you stayed here. There is also an old barn which has been converted into a bar where you can light a fire in the evening; this is a great place to gather around and keep warm and enjoy the knowledgeable company of the owner of the site.

This is a small site facing resolutely out to sea on the beautiful Doonbeg Bay and just a short walk from Doonbeg village. The site owners are happy to advise on walking routes and book fishing and dolphin-watching trips, and the Trump Golf Complex is just a short drive away. The scenery is wild and spectacular, with numerous paths and trails, especially along the coast, so boots and bikes are popular accessories. Others come for kayaking, riding, golf and surfing.

The owners, Jude and Marie Neylon, live on the site and have a policy of always having a family member on hand at all times. They are very environmentally aware and have excellent recycling facilities.
Parsons Green Holiday Park is in the Galtee Vee Valley in south Tipperary. This small, family-run park commands panoramic views toward the Vee Gap and Knockmealdown Mountains. The campsite is open style, surrounded by low ranch fencing offering 34 pitches with hardstanding for caravans and motorhomes and ten on grass, all with 6A electrical connections, plus 20 pitches for tents.
Ballinacourty House and its cobble-stoned courtyard form the centrepiece of this south-facing park with views of the Galtee Mountains. Accessed by a tree-lined lane, the reception area is in part of the renovated 18th-century building, as is the adjoining restaurant.
