Alan Rogers Review of Lee Valley - Almost Wild Campsite
This back to basics campsite is found on the Essex and Hertfordshire border. If you're looking for an authentic 'wild camping' experience, but don't have the time to travel to the countryside, this tent only campsite could be the site for you. The mature woodland location features fire pits, composting toilets and solar powered lighting. A couple of local pubs are a short walk away, alternatively you can pre-order a delivery of charcoal, logs and a grill and cater for yourself on your secluded woodland pitch. 12 Riverside pitches are larger and can cater for groups of up to six campers. Due to the nearby rivers, the campsite is bounded by water on 3 sides, children under the age of 12 are not permitted at this site. 2 well behaved dogs are permitted per pitch.
