Set in the grounds of a château, Castel Camping le Château de Lez Eaux lies in a rural situation just off the main route south, under two hours from Cherbourg. Of the 122 touring pitches, all with electricity (10A, Europlug) and 87 with water and drainage. Most of the pitches are good-sized, partly separated by trees and shrubs on flat or slightly sloping, grassy ground overlooking Normandy farmland and a small fishing lake.

The site offers several types of accommodation and pitches from treehouses to mobile homes with private spa on the terrace and VIP chalets to camping pitches for tents, caravans, and motorhomes. Activities include an indoor water park with water slides, swimming pool and a children's aqua splash fun area. Outdoor activities for everybody: games area, bouncy castles, fishing lake, tennis court and bike rental. NEW for 2025, outdoor heated swimming pool with gentle slope access and a space with jets for a relaxing break.

This is a very pleasant location from which to explore this corner of the Cotentin peninsula, Avranches and Le Mont Saint-Michel being a short distance away. The nearest beach is Saint Pair (4 km) and the port of Granville, where you can take a boat trip to the Channel Islands or the Isles of Chausey, is 7 km away. Although the grounds of the château are taken up with camping, they are ideal for an interesting and relaxing stroll as many of the original buildings still remain.

Directions to Castel Camping le Château de Lez Eaux

From Cherbourg follow the direction Caen-Paris until Valognes. In Valognes, continue in the direction of Mont St-Michel via Lessay, Coutances, Granville. In Granville, take the direction Avranches via the D973. Continue on 4 kms after the roundabout of supermarket Intermarché, the campsite will be on your right. From Saint-Malo follow the direction to the motorway A84. On A84 go to Avranches. In Avranches take the exit to Granville / D973. Cross the roundabout straight on. Pass Marcey les grèves, pass Sartilly, pass Saint Pierre Langers. The campsite is on left 1.5 km after Saint Pierre Langers before the speed camera. From Ouistreham-Caen follow the D924 to take the direction Avranches on the D971, then D973. A84, direction Rennes, exit 37 to Granville.
