Camping Ilates is a no frills campsite centrally located on the Ile de Ré and well situated to explore the 100 km. of cycle paths in the area. The site offers mobile homes and bungalows as well as 68 attractive touring pitches. These are all neatly hedged, of a good size and with 10A electricity, water and a drain. Units over 7 m. are not encouraged due to some road restrictions. At peak times, children’s clubs and animation are organised and the site becomes very busy.

Ile de Ré is a cyclists’ paradise with safe, traffic-free tarmac trails, the attraction of no hills to climb (the highest point on the island is only 19 m .above sea level) means enjoyment for families of all ages. Walkers also have signed and time indicated walks to explore.

Three modern and well maintained sanitary blocks. Hot showers. Accessible facilities. Washing machine. Laundry. Shop, bar and restaurant (15/6-15/9). Swimming pool (unheated). Jacuzzi (July/Aug). Tennis. Clubs for children (July/Aug). Bicycle hire. Free WiFi throughout.

Directions to Flower Camping les Ilates

Cross toll bridge to Ile de Ré and take D201 towards Ars-en-Ré. Join D735 and at roundabout turn right on D102 towards Loix (do not enter village). Before Centre Ville, fork right and follow signs for la Plage du Grouin. Cross 3 small roundabouts, then follow signs to site on left. Very tight turn at entrance. Park outside and sign in first.
