The overall winner of the Alan Rogers Campsite of the Year Awards in 2018, Séquoia Parc is just 7 km from the beach (Marennes-Plage). This is a high-quality family campsite in the heart of the Charente-Maritime region, set in the grounds of La Josephtrie, a castle with beautifully restored outbuildings and courtyard area with a bar and restaurant. The pitches are between 120 and 140m² with 6/10A electricity connections, separated by shrubs providing plenty of privacy. The site has mobile homes, chalets and fully equipped tents for up to 7 people. This is a popular site and reservations are necessary for high season.

The site itself is designed to a high specification with reception in a large, light and airy room which retains its original beams and leads to the courtyard. The pool complex with 4 pools (3 heated), slides, fountains, river and spacious sunbathing area is impressive. A lovely terraced area adjacent to the snack bar allows you to enjoy your food in a very pleasant garden setting with sunshades. Dogs are welcome on the pitches, but not in rental accommodation.

Site is 5 km. southeast of Marennes. From Rochefort take D733 south for 12 km. Turn west on D123 to Ile d’Oléron. Continue for 12 km. Turn southeast on D728 (Saintes). Site signed, in 1 km. on left. From A10 at Saintes take D728 and turn right shortly after St Just. Site signed.
