Camping Huttopia Lac de l'Uby is a campsite located in Cazaubon, France, in the Gers department of the Occitanie region. It is situated on the shores of Lac de l'Uby, a lake that offers swimming, fishing, and boating. The site has 211 pitches, of which 106 are for touring units, and have a 16-amp hook-up point. There are also 105 safari tents and chalets available to hire. The pitches come in different sizes. They have a flat surface and are surrounded by shrubs and plants to provide privacy; some are located right by the water, giving a great view of the lake and its surroundings. 

On-site facilities include an outdoor heated swimming pool, a beautiful sun terrace with loungers and paddling pool. The snack bar has a cosy terrace, and its menu includes homemade pizzas. Fresh bread rolls are also available to order each morning. During the summer months, the children's club organizes various activities for children, and live music is regularly played in the evenings at the snack bar. Of course, the lake offers other swimming opportunities. Within walking distance of the campsite, you will find The Uby Lake leisure centre.  There's a lifeguarded area in the summer for safe swimming, especially for families with young children. You can also try your hand at canoeing, paddle boarding, or pedal boating. The Lac de l'Uby leisure park also has a treetop adventure course, which is a great activity for all ages.

 You can visit the  the nearby town of Cazaubon which is famous for its thermal baths of  Barboton. The campsite provides a free shuttle bus to the thermal baths.  Take a trip back in time to the Middle Ages at the medieval siege camp in the fortified town of Larressingle. Here you can dress up as a knight or princess, try your hand at archery, and learn how to use catapults and crossbows. If you're interested in stargazing, be sure to visit the Dôme du Hameau des Etoiles observatory. This observatory offers public stargazing nights, where you can learn about the constellations and see the stars through a telescope.

Directions to Camping Huttopia Lac de l'Uby-Gers

From Bordeaux take the A62/E72 towards Agen. At Agen join the A65/E7 towards Pau. Take exit 2 and join the D10 to Captieux and just before the town turn left onto the N524 to Barboton-les-Thermes. Go through 2 roundabouts at Barboton and after the second, turn left onto Avenue du Lac and the site is on the road.
