Its fine location overlooking a large man-made lake (Bort les Orgues) makes this site a good choice for waters-based activities. The 10 ha. site is steeply terraced and spacious (not ideal for those with walking difficulties). Of the 220 slightly sloping, medium sized, grassy pitches, 172 are available for camping with 140 having access to electricity (10A long leads required). Tall, mainly coniferous hedges and a variety of trees give good shade, with some having views over the lake. A chalet village, separate but part of the site, has attrative wooden cabins to rent. This is a good value for money site.

Many watersports are available in July and August on the lake and the beautiful surrounding area offers something for everybody, including geologists and naturalists. There are many walks, bike rides and car routes.

Three adequate toilet blocks. Accessible facilities in one block. Laundry. Bar (high season). Pizzeria and takeaway (high season). Small shop (1/6-30/9). Covered, heated swimming pool. Club for children and family entertainment (July/Aug). Play area. Fishing. TV room, Internet access. Gas and electric barbecues are allowed, WIFI (free).

From A89 exit 23 take D979 signed Bort-les-Orgues, then take D922 between La Bourboule and Bort-les-Orgues, north for 4 km. At large site sign turn onto C18. Site is 500 m.
