This delightful 12-acre site is in a beautiful location almost at the tip of the Presqu’île Sainte Marguerite on the northwestern shores of Brittany. The peninsula lies between the mouths (abers) of two rivers, Aber Wrac’h and Aber Benoît. Camping des Abers is set just back from a wonderful sandy beach with rocky outcrops and islands you can walk to at low tide. There are 180 pitches (158 for touring), landscaped and terraced, some with amazing views, others sheltered by mature hedges, trees and flowering shrubs. Hubert le Cuff and his team make you very welcome and speak excellent English.

This extensive site was created out of nothing by the le Cuff family who have tended it with loving care over the years. It is arranged on different levels avoiding any regimentation or crowding. Easily accessed by good internal roads, electricity is available to all (long leads may be needed). With its soft, white sand beach the setting is ideal for those with younger children and this quiet, rural area provides a wonderful, tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of life, even in high season.

Three toilet blocks provide washbasins in cubicles and showers (token from reception € 0.65-0.85). Accessible Facilities. Fully equipped laundry. Motorhome services. Shop stocks essentials (14/5-22/9). Takeaway (July/Aug). Play area. Games room. Hairdresser. The site is famous for its Breton music and dancing, cooking classes and guided walks arranged. Splendid beach with good bathing, fishing, windsurfing and other watersports. WiFi throughout.

Directions to Camping des Abers

Landéda is 55 km. west of Roscoff via D10 to Plougerneau then D13 crossing river bridge (Aber Wrac’h) and turning west to Lannilis. From N12 Morlaix-Brest road turn north on D59 to Lannilis. Continue through town taking road to Landéda and from there follow signs for Dunes de Ste Marguerite, Camping and des Abers.
