Jane and James have recently taken ownership of this small, landscaped site set in ten acres of parkland close to the little River Thouet. In the heart of rural France and off the main tourist tracks, the site offers tranquillity in surroundings maintained to the highest standards. It is only 15 minutes walking distance from the small, medieval market town of Airvault (the birthplace of Voltaire). There are 65 level or slightly sloping grass pitches, all with electricity (13A), and five have water and drainage. They are separated by a variety of shrubs and tall trees offering some shade.

The site lies on the pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela and nearby are Puy du Fou, Fontevraud Abbey, Doué la Fontaine zoo and the châteaux of Saumur and Oiron, making this an ideal long stay site to explore this interesting area. During the season there are organised barbecues, quiz nights and musical evenings. Caravan storage facilities ensure that many regular campers arrive to find their units washed and sited.

A clean, modern and well maintained unisex block has spacious cubicles for showers and washbasins, Accessible shower and WC cubicles. A new block is open for 2020 season. Dishwashing. Washing machine and dryers. Bar/coffee shop selling snacks and ice-cream (bread to order). Heated swimming pool (20/5-30/9). Boules. Play area. Free WiFi over site. Caravan storage. Wine tasting events and barbecues.

From south on D938 (Parthenay-Thouars) take D725 Airvault. Site is well signed, follow blue and white signs. Note: caravans are not allowed in village. From north on D938 use only D725 to Airvault. Ignore sat nav.
