Camping Internazionale Lago di Bracciano
Lago di Bracciano is just 47 km. from the centre of Rome. The site is of a size that provides excellent opportunities for watersports and is inevitably very popular with windsurfers. With some pitches alongside a private little beach, the site provides 110 pitches of which about 50 are for touring units. Our pitch had a full view of the lake, and the gentle breeze made the temperature at the end of June quite bearable. Some shade is provided by large trees. A bar and restaurant near the entrance are behind the site’s small swimming pool and play area. The local bus has a regular service to Rome, and the nearby train station has a direct line to Rome. There are various opportunities for excursions that the site owners will be pleased to tell you about. This site would be a good choice for long or short stays, especially in low season.

Of 337 pitches, 240 are for touring units (6A Europlug) and 190 of the flat, variable-sized pitches (55-100 sq.m) are fully serviced. The remaining pitches are taken by seasonal units, which do not affect the touring areas. An abundance of flowers and trimmed foliage gives the site a pleasant garden atmosphere. This is a great site for families who do not want the razzamatazz and noise of the bigger sites. All facilities are open during the whole season and the site is perfect for a relaxing holiday. The restaurant has three identifiable areas, the best has linen laid tables and a typical, homely Italian feel; or try the pizzas, which you can take away if you wish.

The sister site to IT66356 nearby, it is attractively landscaped with eye-catching flowers, while trees provide welcome shade to most of the 111 level grass pitches, all with 10A electricity. Forty-four have thatched private facilities with toilet and shower, outside kitchen and patio. The bar/waiter service restaurant/pizzeria complex overlooks the lagoon-style pool and paddling pool and offers a reasonably priced and varied menu. There is also a superb thatched open-air gym and sauna alongside the fishing lakes, in addition to a new entertainment area and bar.

Alongside the pretty beach, the site is surrounded by fields and a nature reserve. The pitches (50-100 sq.m) are level and have 10A electricity. Well shaded in the older area, the trees in the new area are beginning to provide welcome shade. The exciting new pool complex is a fun setting for both day and evening entertainment. Hard access roads lead to 800 terraced, sand/grass pitches (5A electricity), some with real shade. Some pitches are on the beach fringes (no extra charge) and there is a separate area for campers with animals. The infrastructure was beginning to look a little tired when we visited. Cars have to be parked away from the pitches in high season.
Camping La Masseria
Nestled amidst a lush pine forest and just a stone's throw from the crystal-clear waters of the Salento Sea in Gallipoli. Camping La Masseria is renowned for its facilities, friendly staff, and picturesque setting, making this campsite the perfect destination for a camping holiday. The site provides 350 touring pitches with electric hook-up points available. During the low season, most pitches are unmarked in two significant areas, and in the high season, high net screens come into use to offer shade from the summer sun.

They are also situated under oleander trees and canopies, providing plenty of shade during the summer months.

Although it does not feel like it, there are 900 touring pitches in clearings, either of grass and sand or on hardstanding, all with electricity, 80 now also with water and waste water. Finding a pitch may take time as there are so many good ones to choose from, but staff will help in season. Most pitches are well shaded, however there are some in the sun for cooler periods. The central complex is superb with well designed buildings providing for all needs (the site is some distance from the town).

La Sfinge is peacefully located in the famous area of Cinque Terre and stylish Portofino, in a landscape of pine and acacia trees, with some panoramic views. Most of the 65 touring pitches are located at the lower level with tent pitches on pleasant terraces, some with views. There are permanent residents on the site but they are separated from the touring pitches. A set evening meal is prepared at a good price with barbecues in high season. There is a pleasant atmosphere at this small, uncomplicated site just 3 km. from the sea. It would particularly suit those who like different types of watersports.

Molise

Southern Italy forms the lower boot of the Italian peninsula, containing the ankle (Abruzzo and Molise and southern Lazio), the toe (Calabria), and the heel (Apulia). On the eastern coast is the Adriatic Sea, leading into the rest of the Mediterranean through the Strait of Otranto. On the Adriatic, south of the spur of the boot, the peninsula of Monte Gargano, the Gulf of Salerno, the Gulf of Naples, and the Gulf of Gaeta are each named after a large coastal city.

Molise is a small region in southern Italy, bordered by Abruzzo to the north, Apulia to the east, Lazio to the west, and Campania to the south. It has a short stretch of coastline on the Adriatic Sea, and the rest of its territory is mountainous. Molise is the second smallest region in Italy, after the Aosta Valley, but it is packed with natural beauty, historical sites, and cultural attractions. In Molise, the city of Isernia is where traces of a million-year-old village were unearthed in 1979, the most ancient signs of human life ever found in Europe. And the quiet resort and fishing port of Térmoli, from where Italian and Central European time is set, is a good place to relax.

The region consists of the following Provinces: Campobasso and Isernia
