Camping Village Paestum is an excellent campsite on Italy's west coast. This large, family-owned site is set some way back from the beach near Paestum and the important ancient Greek temples of ancient Poseidon, built by the Greeks in the sixth century BC, taken by the Romans and renamed in 273 BC. Fast becoming a popular tourist resort, the town of Paestum is some way south of the site, enjoying a quiet, rural environment.

With 480 level and well-defined pitches situated in pine woodland, it has 200 allocated for international touring units, and these are in a special area maintained for non-Italian guests on the basis that they prefer more peace and quiet.

On-site, you will find a large swimming pool with a children’s pool and slide, a full-time lifeguard, and a pleasant sunbathing area. Adults and children have various activities and entertainment throughout the day and evening. A mini club with creative crafts is available for the youngest campers; there are water games and sports tournaments during the day, live shows, and evening dances at the campsite amphitheatre. The onsite restaurant serves traditional Italian cuisine, including pizza.

Excursions are organised from the site, and the enthusiastic staff want to make your stay happy. The beach is only 500 metres from the campsite and can be reached by a shuttle bus that runs in the summer months.

Directions to Camping Village Paestum

Site is north of Paestum Capaccio on the coast road (SP175). From Paestum go north along main coast road. At T-junction turn left and past military zone to site 3 km. on right. From the A3 near Salerno follow signs initially for Pontecagnano, then keep south on coast road (SP175).
