Domaine du Colombier is located between Cannes and Saint Tropez, alongside the main road 2 km. from the centre of Fréjus and 4.5 km. from the fine sandy beaches of Fréjus and Saint Raphaël. There are 18 touring pitches, ranging in size from 80-100 sq.m. and all with 16A electricity and 302 units of rental accommodation. Over recent years there has been much ongoing investment in high-quality facilities. An attractive heated pool complex (3,600 sq.m) includes a long river, paddling pool, waterslides, lagoon and whirlpool, all surrounded by sun loungers. Plenty of activities and excursions are arranged all season and the site caters principally for families.
This site is now part of the Yelloh Village group, and standards on their sites are consistently high - Camping La Plage du Dramont is no exception. Check-in was efficient, and English was spoken; there is a large waiting area, and once you pass through the initial barrier, you will then be given directions to your pitch. There are 113 touring pitches, which have electric hook-up points available. These are generally open plan, under tree shade, but very dry and dusty due to the Mediterranean climate.
Camping Sandaya La Barque is located in Fréjus, on the banks of the Argens river . It's perfect for those looking for a relaxing and fun-filled camping holiday in the south of France. There are 26 touring pitches with electric hook-up points available. Most are spacious and shaded, and many have a view of the pool or the river.
Les Tournels is a large site set on a hillside and pitches have panoramic views of the Gulf of Saint Tropez and Pampelonne beach. The hillside is covered in parasol pines and old olive trees. Of the 890 pitches, 457 are available for touring. They are reasonably level and shady, of variable size, all with electricity and many also with water and waste water drainage. The swimming pool, play area, shop and bar may be some distance away. The site has a superb new spa centre with gym, sauna and jacuzzi, with an excellent pool alongside, all reserved for over 18s, and a new restaurant with a large terrace. Competitions and shows are organised for adults and children in July and August.
This is a large, modern site with excellent Eco credentials. Access is very easy; reception is modern and very efficient in most European languages. The site has a large selection of properties to rent and 300 touring pitches. All pitches have E.H.U. and a freshwater tap, pitches are large and separated by low hedges, all have tree shade, and the site is level, offering good access for all. The site provides a cycle hire service, and you can cycle to the beaches of St. Agulf in under 15 minutes, or if you wish, there is also a regular water taxi straight from the site to the beach. An alternative is to relax around the beautiful pool and bar area.
Near the Verdon Gorges and just moments from the turquoise waters of Lake Sainte Croix, Camping L’Oasis du Verdon is a welcoming, family-run retreat where nature, comfort, and genuine human connection come together. Spread across three hectares of lush, flower-filled, and beautifully shaded grounds—an uncommon treasure in Provence, the campsite offers 104 pitches of which 52 are touring pitches, which are well defined and spacious (80-130m2).
Camp du Domaine is located along the coast just outside the town of Bormes and is 3 km. south of Le Lavandou. The same family has run this large, attractive beachside site for 70 years. With 1040 touring pitches, 957 of which are level and have 10/16A electricity, you can pitch either in the shade in one of the pine forests or the most popular pitches beside the beach with a sea view. Pitches are generous (80-150sqm), but those located furthest from the beach are the largest with more shade. There are also 280 mobile homes/bungalows to rent situated on the hillside with superb views.
Sandaya Douce Quiétude is just a 10-minute drive from the sandy beaches at Saint Raphaël and Agay (with campsite shuttle transport) but is quietly situated at the foot of the Estérel Massif. There are around 440 pitches, 90 for touring units and 260 for fully equipped mobile homes for rent, some with air-conditioning, dishwasher and jacuzzi.
La Pansard is a large site with 400 pitches and direct access to the beach. With a mix of mobile homes and touring pitches, most of the touring areas are located around the beach area and under shady pine trees. The pitches are sandy and of average size (80-100 sq.m) but suffer from a lack of suitably placed electrical connections and water points. Some pitches will require extremely long leads. The site has good sports facilities and a comprehensive small supermarket. There is a large separate car park area for boats. Some English is spoken. This stretch of coast is very sheltered with a shallow beach safe for swimming.
La Baume is a large, busy site about 5.5 km from the long sandy beach of Fréjus-Plage, although with its fine and varied selection of swimming pools many people do not bother to make the trip. The pools, with their palm trees, are remarkable for their size and variety (water slides, etc) – the very large feature pool being a highlight. There is also an aquatic play area, two indoor pools with a slide and the new Armata spa area. The site has 240 adequately sized, fully serviced pitches, separated by hedges and most have shade. Although tents are accepted, the site concentrates mainly on caravanning. It becomes full in season.
Camping Sandaya Rivièra d’Azur is an excellent site near the Côte d’Azur that will take you away from the Mediterranean coast's bustle. Spread out over ten hectares, this is a well-equipped holiday destination with pitches arranged along avenues. The 188 touring pitches average 100 sq.m. in size, and all have electricity connections and, unusually, private sanitary facilities (although washbasins double as dishwashing sinks). There are 340 accommodation units for rent, most of which were installed after ongoing investment by the owners. There is a free shuttle to the beach at Saint Aygulf.
This is a beautiful site just a short drive from the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean and ideally located for touring Provence. The site has been in the same family since 1980, and now the 3rd generation is taking over the running of the site and is very proud of what has been achieved by their Parents and Grandparents. The site consists of 157 pitches, all with 10 amp E.H.U. and all offering some shade from the established cork oaks; pitches are spacious and separated by low flowery hedges, and all pitches have water and waste water drainage. Access to the site is good, and check-in was quick and efficient; you can walk around and select your pitch. Facilities on site were spotless and modern, and there is a shop, bar, restaurant and takeaway.
Camping Caravaning Esterel is a quality caravan site east of Saint Raphaël, set among the hills beyond Agay. The site is 3.5 km. from the sandy beach at Agay, where parking is perhaps a little easier than at most places on this coast, but a shuttle from the site runs to and from the beach several times daily in July and August. It has 164 touring pitches (tents are not accepted) with 10A electricity and a water tap. Several ‘deluxe’ pitches are available with a heated bathroom, jacuzzi, dishwasher and washing machine. Pitches are on shallow terraces, attractively landscaped with good shade and various flowers, giving a feeling of spaciousness.
Parc les Cigales is an accommodation-only site benefiting from the shady environment of cork umbrella pines, further enhanced by olives, palm trees and colourful shrubs. The terrain is typical of the area with rough, sloped and stony, dry ground, but the pitches are of a good size, terraced where necessary and nestling amongst the trees. There are 450 pitches in total, 277 mobile homes and chalets to rent; the remainder are privately owned. The restaurant/bar area overlooks the attractive new aquapark. Convenient for the autoroute (from which there is road noise), this is a spacious family site away from the coast.
In a quiet location, just a twenty-minute cycle ride from the beach and close to the popular resort of Fréjus, Camping de Vaudois has been run by the Gonzalez family for over 40 years and was started by the owner's Grandfather and the whole family take pride in ensuring the site is of the highest standard, and It was certainly agreed. There are 40 Pitches of a good size, flat and level, with tree shade with low-level hedging dividing each pitch. All had had E.H.U., and most had beautiful views over the surrounding countryside; there are, however, no fully serviced pitches on this site.
Camping Saint-Lazare is a small traditional French campsite conveniently located 15 minutes from Lac de Sainte-Croix and 30 minutes from the Gorges du Verdon, making it an ideal campsite for day trips to see the sights. The charming village of Aups, known for its truffles and Provençal markets, is also nearby. On-site, there are 45 touring pitches with electric hook-up points available. Pitches are delimited by hedging and are well-shaded by mature olive, acacias, and mulberry bushes.
Les Lauriers Roses is an attractive, small site with up-to-date facilities and the emphasis on comfort and relaxation. Steeply terraced over two hectares with views of the Mediterranean, it is owned by a friendly Dutch family who will personally site caravans on some of the more challenging areas of the site. There are 83 pitches (67 for touring units with 6A electricity) of a good size, the majority set out on individual terraces. Units over 7.5 m. and twin-axle caravans are not accepted. Good English is spoken. A peaceful, comfortable site, there is a large, heated outdoor swimming pool with an adjoining bar and restaurant area.
Camping le Parc is a small and peaceful site just 35 minutes from the hustle and bustle of the Côte d’Azur, where you will receive a warm welcome by the owners. Set in the heart of Provence, there are about 120 mostly level pitches, 55 of which are a good size for touring (all with 10A electricity), the remainder taken by mobile homes and chalets for rent or privately owned. Pitches are partly shaded by oak trees which let enough sunlight through to give an open feel to the site. It is a good base for visiting the nearby Provençal hilltop villages with colourful markets. These might include Fayence, Seillans (classed as one of the most beautiful villages in France), Caillan and Montauroux.
Located just a short drive from the stunning Côte d'Azur, Camping Lou Cabasson offers a perfect family getaway. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside while being conveniently located near the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean. On-site, there are 38 touring pitches, of which electric hook-up points are available.
This is a straightforward site to approach but unusual as you go through the suburbs of Cannes past supermarkets, shopping complexes and cinemas; when you go through the industrial area, you have doubts.
