Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park
A small and secluded garden site for adults only, Bath Chew Valley has been developed with much tender love and care by the Betton family, who are rightly proud of their David Bellamy Gold award. Hardstanding pitches are sited amongst colourful beds of flowers, shrubs and trees. Cars are tucked away on the nearby car park, providing a tranquil and restful atmosphere. An area of woodland is adjacent with an enclosed dog walking area called Puppies’ Parade. The warden will assist you in placing your caravan.
Hurn Lane Caravan and Motorhome Club site
Hurn Lane Caravan and Motorhome Club site is located just a short 15-minute walk from a safe and sandy beach, the site makes for a great holiday destination. Easily accessible from the site, charming Burnham is a traditional seaside town that boasts a tranquil, traffic-free prom for long leisurely strolls. The whole family will enjoy Burnham's famous carnival in early November - a colourful and lively feast of entertainment. The site has 138 mainly hardstanding pitches (some of which are seasonal), and some are serviced. All have electricity 16amp.
Minehead Caravan and Motorhome Club Site
Set on a small hillside, Minehead Caravan and Motorhome Club site is spread across several flat areas, all of which are attractively screened from the road with plentiful trees and bushes. For shopping and all the attractions of a traditional British seaside resort, Minehead is only a 15-minute walk away. Other tempting attractions to visit when touring in Somerset are Dunster Castle and beautiful Exmoor, famous as Lorna Doone country, which is also a popular draw especially for walkers and those with dogs. There are also excellent bus links to explore the Quantocks, Porlock, Taunton and Dulverton. The site has 49 hardstanding pitches all with 16 amp electricity.
Ilminster Caravan and Motorhome Club Site
Ilminster Caravan and Motorhome Club Site is a pleasant and peaceful holiday destination, the beautifully maintained site slopes slightly towards some of the loveliest South Somerset countryside and has great open views. Located just off the A303 the site is ideal as a touring base for Devon, Dorset and Somerset. It also makes a good stopover for travelling further south. The busy market towns of Chard and Ilminster are situated close to the site and have a deep history of country trades. For dining, the nearby Eagle pub offers good value food. The site has 68 mostly grass pitches (some seasonal) all with electricity 16amp.
Exmoor House Caravan and Motorhome Club Site
Exmoor House Caravan and Motorhome Club site is well situated on the outskirts of the charming country town of Dulverton, alongside the River Barle. It is professionally run and all facilities are maintained to a very high standard. The site is well landscaped with tarmac roads and a choice of 66 pitches, all gravel hardstandings and a further 8 fully serviced. Some are quite small but certainly not cramped. All have 16 amp electricity hook-ups. Walls and hedges divide the site into smaller areas. It is ideal for those who simply want to relax and enjoy the birdsong, but there are numerous opportunities for an adventurous stay, with canoeing and kayaking on the doorstep and sailing and fishing at Wimbleball Lake, just five miles away.
Exebridge Lakeside Caravan and Motorhome Club Site
Exebridge Lakeside is a typical CAMC site; great location, excellent pitches and facilities and all well maintained. With a total of 80 level pitches all with electricity, 49 of those are hardstanding including 8 fully serviced. Hardstanding pitches are in part separated by hedges and small trees. The remainder are grass with 6 reserved for tents. The site has a centrally located sanitary block and motorhome service point. A small child play area and dog walk are near the grass pitches. Some 3.5 miles from Dulverton with its numerous shops, tea room, fish & chip shop and riverside pub. There is a convenient path leading from the site around the fishing lake and onwards to The Anchor pub, a traditional local landmark just 400 yards away.
Cheddar Caravan and Motorhome Club Site
Cheddar Caravan and Motorhome Club Site is situated on the very edge of Cheddar Village and boasts magnificent views of the Mendips and surrounding countryside - an absolute walker's paradise. Amenities in the village include a variety of shops, pubs and takeaways. Cheddar Caves and Gorge and the famous Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company are all within easy walking distance of the site. With Wookey Hole Caves and Mill and England's smallest city of Wells just a short drive away, you are sure to have plenty to see and do during your stay. The site has 65 hardstanding pitches including 14 which are serviced and all with 16 amp electricity.
Cadeside Caravan and Motorhome Club Site
Cadeside Caravan and Motorhome Club site has just 16 pitches on this well screened Somerset site with distant views of the surrounding hills. Within fifteen minutes’ walk of Wellington, which is surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscapes in Somerset with the Quantocks and Brendon Hills to the north and the Blackdown Hills to the South. The remainder of the site has been developed into an all year secure storage area. Only two miles from the M5, this is a useful stopping place when travelling to or from Devon and Cornwall, but the area is interesting in its own right, and is a good base for exploring in every direction, from Exmoor to the beautiful Dorset coast. The site is adjacent to rail and road, therefore some noise can be expected. The site does not have a toilet block.
Home Farm Holiday Park & Country Club
Home Farm is neatly and attractively laid out over 44 acres, and is convenient for those using the M5. There are 650 level pitches in total including 170 privately owned holiday homes and a number of seasonal units. These are laid out on level grass, all clearly marked and accessed by tarmac roads. They are divided into various sections, one of which is an area specifically for those with dogs. The 120 hardstanding pitches include 20 serviced pitches for RVs and motorhomes. Electrical connections (10A) are available everywhere. A large, modern outdoor pool with paved surrounds and a paddling section is neatly walled and an indoor pool and leisure centre which includes access for those with reduced mobility.
Halse Farm Touring Caravan & Camping Park
A truly rural park with beautiful, moorland views, you may be lucky enough to glimpse red deer across the valley or see ponies and foals grazing outside the main gate which is adjacent to the moor. Two open, neatly cut fields (level at the top) back onto traditional hedging and slope gently to the middle and bottom where wild flowers dominate. One field provides 10A electricity points and is used for motorhomes, caravans and tents requiring electricity, the other is for tents. Reception is in the farmhouse – leave your unit by the toilet block and walk down to the farm kitchen to book in.
Cheddar Bridge Touring Park
Within easy walking distance of Cheddar village, this is an adult only (over 18 yrs) park. A compact site, there are 65 pitches, mostly on level grass, with 40 electricity hook-ups (16A) and 35 gravel hardstandings. A separate area for 20 tents is on the river bank, with its own toilet facilities. Ten caravan holiday homes are now also available to rent. Reception keeps basic supplies and gas cylinders. Cream teas are available (which you prepare yourself) and profits go to charity. Note: the site access is over a fairly narrow bridge with low stone walls, passable for double-axle caravans, but more difficult for very large motorhomes.
Holiday Resort Unity
Holiday Resort Unity offers everything for the holidaymaker, from young children to the ‘young at heart’. Apart from the extensive on-site amusements and entertainment programme, campers can also use the swimming pools, funfair and other leisure pursuits at the adjoining Brean Leisure Centre (owned by the same family), for a small fee. Three large touring fields provide pitches that are flat and open, mostly grass but some on concrete hardstandings (for RV’s and motorhomes up to 30 ft, contact site). Most pitches have 16A electricity hook-ups. A separate warden looks after each camping field. New ready-erected euro tents and a substantial number of caravan holiday homes are available to rent.
Cypress Farm
With a change of ownership in 2022, Cypress Farm Touring Park has been transformed to a high standard by Seona and Tony. The site accepts tents, caravans and motorhomes. Set in an idyllic rural location, this small site provides a good base to explore the many attractions Somerset has to offer and is a relatively short distance from Weston-Super-Mare. A peaceful location, and even with the Bristol Airport flight path close by, the noise is minimal and relatively brief. On entering the coded security gate and arriving at the 15-pitch flat touring area you are welcomed by a circular hard roadway and well-maintained grass areas.
Hoburne Blue Anchor
Although mainly a holiday park with over 300 caravan holiday homes, Blue Anchor nevertheless offers good facilities for 103 touring units. Trailer tents are accepted but not other tents (other than pup tents with a touring booking). Virtually in a separate touring area, the level pitches all have 10A electricity and hardstanding for cars and motorhomes (with caravans going on the adjacent grass). A feature of the park is a good sized, irregularly shaped indoor swimming pool with an area for small children, complete with a mushroom shaped fountain. With views of the sea from the pool, it is heated and supervised. Although not actually within the park itself, there are restaurants and takeaways within easy walking distance.
Rose Farm Caravan Park
In a quiet countryside location, but within easy reach of the Somerset Levels and the coastal resort of Burnham-on-Sea, Rose Farm is a friendly, adult only park with a significant number of seasonal units. However, there are some touring pitches, all with electricity hook-ups, ten on hardstanding. There is a licensed bar and meals are served in the club house. The site is ideally situated for enjoying the Somerset coast, with a golf club and leisure park nearby, and Weston-Super-Mare within easy reach.
Edithmead Leisure and Park Homes
Edithmead is a seasonal site conveniently situated between coast and countryside, with easy access to the M5 and just five minutes’ drive from the traditional seaside resort of Burnham-on-Sea with its pier and sandy beach. Nearby are the Somerset Levels, a unique landscape of rivers and wetlands dotted with quaint villages and rich in wildlife. The site has all the amenities needed for a family holiday, including a club with licensed bar, food and entertainment, new sanitary facilities, good WiFi and a dog walking area. The pitches are hardstanding and all have electricity hook-ups. For peace of mind, there is a 24-hour warden on the site and secure access. Please note there are no touring pitches at this site.
Northam Farm Holiday Park
Brean has been a popular holiday destination for decades and many large campsites have evolved. Northam Farm, owned by the Scott family, is one of them. It is a large family park with good facilities, but not overly commercial and still retaining a family feel. There are 350 pitches for seasonal units and these are separated from the four touring fields. The 553 touring pitches (most with 16A electricity) are well established and many have block paved hardstanding. The owners and staff are always available to help visitors enjoy their stay. A monthly newsletter is published giving details of ‘what’s on’ both on and off site.
Alpine Grove Touring Park
Situated close to both Chard and Cricket St Thomas is this peaceful woodland site is owned by Keith and Serena Wootton who go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your stay here. Recent recipients of the Green Tourist Gold award the pitches vary in size (20 - 70 sq.m) and are on flat ground served by gravel roads giving easy access. Some informally marked pitches are tucked away in dense foliage and are very private. Electricity (10A) is supplied to 26 of the 36 touring pitches (16 hardstandings).
Cornish Farm Touring Park
This neat little park is on level ground and located close to the M5 motorway. There are 49 pitches with 10A electricity, of which 25 are on gravel hardstanding. Most pitches are accessed from a gravel road (one-way system) with plenty of fresh water taps, site lighting and some picnic tables. A separate area for tents is close to the toilet block. A pleasant and quiet site, but there is some background motorway noise.
Old Oaks Touring, Camping & Glamping
The Old Oaks, an adults-only park, is tucked below the Glastonbury Tor in a lovely secluded setting with views across to the Mendip Hills. The grounds are immaculate, and much attention to cleanliness is given throughout. There are 100 large pitches in a series of paddocks, 91 with 16A electricity on hardstandings, and 50 are fully serviced. Mainly backing onto hedges, they are attractively arranged and interspersed with shrubs and flowers in a circular development or terraced with rural views.
