Camping Maremma Sans Souci is a delightful seaside site which has been open since 1965 and sits in natural woodland on the coast road between Follonica and Grosseto. The minimum amount of undergrowth has been cleared to provide 270 individually marked and hedged, flat touring pitches with considerable privacy. All have 6A electrical connections and 40 have a satellite TV point. Cars are parked away from pitches. There is a wide road for motorhomes but other roads are narrow. Access to some parts is difficult so each pitch is earmarked either for touring units or for tents. An excellent sandy beach is less than 100 m. from one end of the site (400 m. from the other) and is used only by campers. The waters here are among the cleanest in Italy and the beach is very safe for swimming.

The restaurant with several terraces is in the centre of the site and offers outstanding Italian food at extremely good prices along with a fine choice of wines. A positive feature of this site is that there are no seasonal pitches, although there are 77 wooden cottages and eight caravans to rent. Only 3 km. from Castiglione della Pescaia, a lively holiday town with an old walled village and castle at the centre, the site is on a small cliff overlooking a marina. Maremma Sans Souci has a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. It is a most friendly site right by the sea which should appeal to many people who like a relaxed style of camping in a comfortable woodland setting with a real personal touch.

Five small, very clean, older style toilet blocks are well situated around the site. Free hot showers. Three blocks have private cabins each with WC, basin and shower. Motorhome services. Laundry. Shop. Excellent restaurant (half- and full-board available) and pizzeria. Bar with snacks. ATM. Bicycle hire. Diving school. Excursions organised. WiFi (free). Torches required in some areas. Direct beach access.
