Camping del Sole
Camping del Sole is, in our opinion, one of Italy’s best family sites, in a wonderful setting and offering high-quality facilities. It lies on the southern edge of Lake Iseo, just outside the pretty lakeside town of Iseo and to the north of Brescia. The ancient city of Bergamo is to the west.
Camping Montorfano
Discover a perfect blend of space and intimacy at Montorfano Campsite in the heart of Italy's stunning Como region. Just a short drive from the world-famous Lake Como and even closer to the crystal-clear waters of Lake Montorfano, this campsite offers the ultimate Italian holiday experience. Despite Montorfano Campsite's large size, as there are 250 touring pitches, you'll be able to find peace here. Choose from secluded pitches hidden among the trees or spacious spots on manicured lawns. There’s a perfect spot for every camper.  A short drive takes you to the bustling town of Montorfano and the nearby allure of Lake Como. The campsite is a welcoming oasis where a warm reception sets the tone for your stay.
Camping Toscolano
Camping Toscolano is located in Toscolano Maderno, on the western shore of Lake Garda, in the province of Brescia, Italy. It offers a unique setting, being situated within the historical walls of a former 14th-century monastery, providing a charming and tranquil atmosphere among cypress trees. The campsite boasts direct access to Lake Garda, with its own private beach (both sandy and pebbly sections). This offers opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and various water sports.  It's conveniently located with a w walkway leading to the port of Toscolano and within walking distance of the town centres of both Toscolano and Maderno. Guests can enjoy beautiful views of Lake Garda on one side and the Dolomites mountains on the other.
Agricampeggio Abbruzzetti
Agricampeggio Abbruzzetti is located in Fermo, Italy. It is a small, intimate campsite, perfect for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. On-site, you will find 25 touring pitches with electrical hook-up points available, laid out on terraces with wide panoramic views of the sea and Sibillini.
Sportcamping Rio Vantone
Lake Idro, one of the smaller northern Italian lakes, is tucked away in the mountains west of Lake Garda. Rio Vantone is on the lake's southeast shore with marvellous views across the water to the villages on the opposite bank and surrounding mountains.
Camping Covelo
Covelo has a superb lakeside location and is one of the friendliest family sites we have visited in Italy. It is three hundred metres long, with grassy pitches and mature trees. The average sized, level pitches are in rows parallel with the shores of the lake. As the site is just four pitches deep, all have excellent access to the water plus brilliant views of the mountains across the lake and the tree-clad escarpment to the rear of the site. The owners take great pride in their site, insisting on high levels of simple family-style enjoyment for their guests. Although the site is small, the creative owners of Covelo have worked wonders in getting the maximum from their site for their guests to feel relaxed and have an enjoyable holiday.
Camping Il Faro
Located in the picturesque Lombardy region of Italy, Camping Il Faro offers a tranquil escape just steps away from the stunning Lake Garda. This family-owned campsite is ideally situated between Rocca di Garda and San Biagio Island, providing easy access to a sandy beach, water sports, and scenic hiking trails. On-site, there are 60 touring pitches with electric hook-up points available. The spacious, grassy pitches provide ample shade from the Italian sun, allowing you to enjoy leisurely picnics or barbecues.
Camping Ranocchio
This is a delightful site next to a small lake in a wetland nature reserve, surrounded by tree-clad slopes with views of distant mountain peaks. Such peaceful locations are rare. The very friendly Cremella family are all involved in the running of the site and their welcome is warm and genuine. The 195 touring pitches (all with 3-6A electricity) are on gravel hardstanding or grass. The restaurant, with a bar and terrace, offers a range of Italian dishes and pizzas to eat in or take away. There is a well maintained swimming pool and a paddling pool with safety precautions.
Camping Citta di Milano
Citta di Milano is the only campsite within Milan. The site has everything a camper looks for: restaurant, bar, sauna, good sanitary facilities, lots of the things for children, and it adjoins the water park. With 130 pitches set among large mature trees in the summer, it provides excellent shade (in the autumn, after heavy rains, the pitches can be muddy). No hardstandings, and some pitches are quite narrow between the large trees. There is covered motorhome storage near the entrance.
Camping Punta d’Oro
Camping Punta d’Oro, just outside the town of Iseo in the southeast corner of the lake, is a small, tranquil campsite. It has been run by the Zatti-Brescianini family for the last thirty years and you will receive a very warm welcome on arrival. The very pretty site slopes gently down to the lake. It has 62 grass pitches (plus two static caravans for hire) all with 3-5A electricity connections. Trees and shrubs provide some shade and there are lovely views across the lake to the mountains. Lakeside pitches are a little more expensive. There is some occasional noise from the nearby railway.
Camping La Breva
Camping La Breva is a small site located in Dongo, a renowned destination in Alto Lario. The site has 75 grass/hardstanding pitches, of which 50 are for touring units and have a 6-amp hook-up point. Seven mobile homes are available to hire—the best point about this campsite is its position overlooking the lake, which has a large beautiful beach. The site is also just a 5 minutes walk from the town centre with all the services and amenities needed for an enjoyable holiday on a small campsite.
Camping Darna
At the eastern end of Lake Lugano, Camping Darna is in a broad valley with a great view down the lake and mountains on all sides. It is a well run, family owned site which becomes lively in high season with plenty of entertainment for young and old; in low season it is much more relaxed. The 304 touring pitches are on flat ground, all with 3A electricity. There are 65 seasonal pitches (not along the lakeside). A restaurant serves a full range of Italian dishes and has a bar and an extensive terrace. There is an excellent swimming pool and a paddling pool.
Camping La Riva
La Riva lies on a waterway at the northern end of Lake Como. It is surrounded by mountains, close to the nature reserve of Pian di Spagna and within walking distance of Sorico, a pretty town with bars, restaurants and shops. The site is beautifully laid out, with 70 level touring pitches on well tended grass, and an average size of 80 sq.m. Many have attractive views across the river to the mountains and most have 6A electrical connections. Reception houses a small bar, with limited snack bar and takeaway. Bread and milk to order. The excellent outdoor pool has a sunbathing terrace. Camping La Riva has a happy, friendly atmosphere.
Camping Sassabanek
On the shore of Lago d’Iseo, one of the lesser known of the Italian Lakes, this campsite is part of a large tourist complex close to the town of Iseo. There are some 350 pitches, with 80 interspersed for touring units, plus a small number occupied by tour operators. Electric hook-ups (3A) are available throughout and there are 30 hardstandings for motorhomes. The shops, bars and restaurants of the attractive lakeside town of Iseo are within easy reach on foot or by bike, whilst a gentle drive along the shore takes you to numerous delightful towns and villages including Sarnico and Sulzano.u>
Parkcamping Maccagno Lagocamp
Parkcamping Maccagno Lagocamp is a delightful small site with immediate access to the shores of Lake Maggiore and a shingle beach. With hills on each side, the views over the lake are spectacular. There is no entertainment or infrastructure, so the site will suit those who just wish to relax on a traditional style campsite. The 90 pitches vary in size (40-80 sq.m), are relatively flat, most have been re-turfed and many have shade. They are numbered but demarcation is somewhat informal. The bar and shop were completely refurbished in 2015, with a few snacks added to the menu. There are restaurants close by. English, German and Dutch are spoken and the site management is keen to assist you in having a pleasant holiday.
Camping La’Vedo
Camping La’Vedo is a small, friendly unpretentious campsite located between the busy main SS340 road and a forested area bordering Lake Como. This is a simple site with few pitches and little in the way of facilities, however it has a restaurant serving good value meals and pizzas, and breakfast is available in the bar. La’Vedo is within walking distance of all the town amenities and, perhaps most importantly, the lake with its beaches and boat excursions. Camping La’Vedo is a good site for walkers and cyclists, serving as a no-frills night stop when touring the area.u>
Camping Au Lac de Como
Au Lac du Como is situated in a most pleasant location at the head of Lake Como, in the centre of the village of Sorico, facing south down the water and surrounded by wooded mountains. There is direct access to the lake for swimming and other watersports, with windsurfing appearing to be the most popular pastime. Static units predominate but the camping area is directly by the lake, where there is said to be room for 74 touring units, with 3A electricity. However, as pitches are not marked out, pitching can be haphazard and the area may become crowded, particularly in high season when booking is advised.

Lombardy

The region of Lombardy stretches from the Alps, on the border with Switzerland, down past the romantic lakes of Como and Maggiore to the broad, flat plain of river Po.

Milan Cathedral

Lombardy is one of the most developed tourist destinations in Italy, its major draw being the beautiful scenic lakes. Surrounded by abundant vegetation, Lake Como is set in an idyllic landscape of mountains, tall peaks that seem to rise directly from the water’s edge. With a number of places to visit along the shores, including the prosperous towns of Como and Lecco, the area is also great for walking and in most places the lake is clean enough for swimming. Lake Maggiore has a Mediterranean atmosphere, with citrus trees and palms lining the shores, and offers a more sedate pace.

Near Stresa, are the Borromean Islands, of which Isola Bella is the most popular. It is home to the 17th-century Palazzo Borromeo and its splendid garden of landscaped terraces, fountains, peacocks and statues. A lesser known lake, Lake Iseo, is the fifth largest in northern Italy. Situated in wine producing country, surrounded by mountains and waterfalls, it is popular for its watersports and boasts the largest lake-island in Italy, Monte Isola. All three lakes are well served by ferries which zig-zag from shore to shore, and are within easy reach of the vibrant city of Milan.

The region is made up of the following provinces: Bermago, Brescia, Como, Cremona, Lecco, Lodi, Mantova, Milano, Pavia, Sondrio and Varese.
