On the shore of Lago d’Iseo, one of the lesser known of the Italian Lakes, this campsite is part of a large tourist complex close to the town of Iseo. There are some 350 pitches, with 80 interspersed for touring units, plus a small number occupied by tour operators. Electric hook-ups (3A) are available throughout and there are 30 hardstandings for motorhomes. The shops, bars and restaurants of the attractive lakeside town of Iseo are within easy reach on foot or by bike, whilst a gentle drive along the shore takes you to numerous delightful towns and villages including Sarnico and Sulzano.u>

Adjoining the site is an extensive leisure complex which is open to the public but with free access for campers. Here you will find lakeside lawns for sunbathing and picnics, three pools, a tennis court, a games area and watersports — so something for all the family. From Sulzano, a frequent service of small boats takes you to Peschiera Maragilo, a tiny fishing village on peaceful, car-free Monte Isola, described as the largest island on any European lake. It is attractive for walkers, with a choice of gentle strolls along the coastal paths or a brisk climb up a mule track to the Madonna della Ceriola chapel.

Directions to Camping Sassabanek

Iseo is 80 km. east of Milan via A4 motorway. Take exit for Rovato (between Bergamo and Brescia) and head north on SPxi following signs for Iseo and then Centro Turistico Sassabanek.
