Alan Rogers Review of Camping Covelo
Covelo has a superb lakeside location and is one of the friendliest family sites we have visited in Italy. It is three hundred metres long, with grassy pitches and mature trees. The average sized, level pitches are in rows parallel with the shores of the lake. As the site is just four pitches deep, all have excellent access to the water plus brilliant views of the mountains across the lake and the tree-clad escarpment to the rear of the site. The owners take great pride in their site, insisting on high levels of simple family-style enjoyment for their guests. Although the site is small, the creative owners of Covelo have worked wonders in getting the maximum from their site for their guests to feel relaxed and have an enjoyable holiday.
The attractive town of Iseo is a short walk or bicycle ride along the lake, where the trappings of Italian life may be sampled. There is a choice of restaurants serving typical Italian food and an antique and collectors market is held on here on Sundays. Ferry and pleasure boat trips are available from the jetties. The railway, which runs close to the site, provides an excellent service to Milan (40 minutes) and Venice (2 hours).

Three refurbished sanitary blocks of differing sizes provide pleasant facilities including accessible facilities. Baby cubicle. Motorhome services. Shop. Bar. Restaurant. Small play area. Entertainment. TV room. Big screen movies at night. Free bicycles for guests. Fishing. Boat launching. Buoys for boats. Free WiFi.
Directions to Camping Covelo
From the Milan/Verona A4 autostrada approach Lake Iseo on the SPX1 from Seriate travelling east, or from any of the many approach roads travelling West from Brescia. At Iseo the site is well signed 800 m. south of the town on the lakeside.
