You can be sure of a friendly welcome in English at this attractive site on the Danube cycle route. Reception, bar, restaurant and flowered terrace are located on the dam top from where there are views of the Danube and surrounding countryside – an ideal place to try out the local drink, cider, and home-smoked trout. The 45 touring pitches are in a protected area behind the dam, all with 13A electricity. A separate area accommodates 30 tents; each area has its own well-maintained sanitary facility. The pitches are grassy and separated by hedges.
This level, grassy site with 142 touring pitches lies directly on the Wolfgangsee and is a couple of kilometres away from the town of St. Wolfgang. It has its own beach, from which there are wonderful mountain views, and a landing stage for water-based activities. All pitches have TV connections, water points and free WiFi, are between 70 and 90 sq.m. and are set among trees. The 6A electricity supply can be upgraded to 13A. The site has a restaurant, which is open to the public, and a pizzeria and bar. This is a relaxed and friendly site, with activities and facilities to suit visitors of all ages. Dance evenings, beer festivals and Caribbean-themed nights, are just a few examples of the on-site entertainment on offer.
MondSeeLand is set in a delightful location and offers excellent facilities in a pleasant part of Austria, to the east of Salzburg, between the lakes of Mondsee and Irrsee. There are 100 good sized, level touring pitches (80 extended stays, in a separate area), set amongst the trees at a lower level and on terraces, each with water, wastewater and 16A electricity. The heated swimming pool is covered and has a sunbathing terrace. There is a small fishing lake (unfenced) and a small playground. During summer there is an entertainment programme for children. Good English is spoken.
Camping Ried is a small, attractive site at the edge of Lake Wolfgangsee. A walk along a quiet street next to the lake will take you to the beautiful St.Wolfganger promenade and the centre of St.Wolfgang, approx. 10 minutes. The site has 40 grass pitches surrounded by many trees for shadow. From the terraces, you have beautiful views over the lake and mountains from most pitches.
The Attersee is the largest of a group of lakes just to the east of Salzburg, in the very attractive Salzkammergut area. Camping Seensucht Attersee is a small, often crowded site halfway up the western side of the lake. There are 160 individual pitches, with an increasing number of seasonal units taking the larger pitches. There are some 70 pitches for tourers, all with 16A electricity and many with shade. Pitches tend to be small to medium size and the access roads are narrow making entrance and exit difficult.
