La Valle is welcoming family-run campsite, conveniently located between Pisa and Lucca in San Giuliano Terme. This small terraced campsite has 21 marked out, hard-standing pitches, all with electricity supplies. Set in an ancient quarry, this site benefits from continuing development, including a recently developed bar which serves light snacks from the region. The small pool offers welcome relief from the Tuscan sun or a sunbathing area if you prefer. A further 25 tent only pitches are also available.

Pisa is just a short drive away with the attractions of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, Museo dell'Opera del Duomo being welcome alternatives to the obvious tower (comedy photographs obligatory!) The less well-known city of Lucca is a walled city with a cathedral dating back to the 13th century. A circuit of the town walls, built between 1500 and 1645 by Flemish engineers, should take about an hour

Location

From the A11, exit Lucca Ovest. Take Via Pisana 6 km through the tunnel and under the train track, after 400m turn left, follow the little country road for about 550m.
