Knaus Campingpark Frickenhausen is a pleasant riverside site with good facilities just south of Würzburg, situated towards the northern end of the Romantische Strasse and not far from the A3 Frankfurt to Nürnberg. There are 77 fair-sized, numbered touring pitches on generally flat grass, arranged in sections leading from tarmac access roads with flowers around. Most have 16A electricity connections. About 80 long-stay places are mostly separate nearer the river. All the amenities are in a long block opposite reception. Upstairs is a little shop and a restaurant with a terrace for candlelit meals.

There is a small, heated, open-air swimming pool, whilst on an island surrounded by attractive trees alongside the River Main is a large play area. The island is also used for youngsters to meet. The ducks are very friendly and will invite you to feed them.

Directions to Knaus Campingpark Frickenhausen

From the A3 at Würzburg, take exit 71 (Ochsenfurt) and continue on the B13 towards Ochsenfurt and Ansbach. On the northern side of the river and where the road bends sharply to the right to cross the River Main continue straight on and site is 200 m. on the right.
