Set in the southern Charente Maritime, just 40 miles from Bordeaux and surrounded by forests. This site is a haven of tranquillity and calm. It has its own fishing lake which is completely fenced in and gated. There are 45 pitches for touring and 15 mobile homes which are available to rent. All are easily accessible and offer dappled shade. Whilst the site is on different levels, the pitches are generally level. Electricity is 10/16A. La Motte is a family run site and offers a quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
There are many places of interest to visit including Lake Beau Vallon, a manmade swimming lake with many facilities, Maison de la Forêt which is ten minutes away, Montguyon medieval castle and Cognac which is only 45 minutes.
Facilities
One sanitary block provides all facilities including accessible facilities. Washing machine. Small shop. Motorhome services. Snack bar (15/3-31/10). Play area. Fishing in the lake. Boules. Croquet. Giant draughts and chess. Bicycle hire. Gas and electric barbecues allowed.
Location
Leave the N10 at exit 39B for Montlieu La Garde. Take D730 towards la Roche-Chalais. After Montguyon and d’Ancey, turn left. Camping is 2 km. further on the left. It is well signed.
