Huttopia Cordes-sur-Ciel is five kilometres from Cordes-sur-Ciel, a bastide village created by the Counts of Toulouse in the 13th century. It rises high on a hill (sur-ciel, meaning high in the sky) and is well preserved. Perched on a hill overlooking the surrounding countryside, with a unique view of the village of Cordes-sur-Ciel, the site is fairly level and terraced where necessary to provide 28 grass touring pitches, 18 with 10A electricity. The pitches are small and have little shade, but do have some good views. There are 30 chalets to rent. Previously known as Le Garissou.

Cordes-sur-Ciel is now a popular artists’ colony resuming a tradition of craftsmanship dating back to the 14th century. A tourist road train runs through the town from May to September. The swimming pool complex adjoining the campsite is free for campers. It has an indoor games room with pool table and table tennis. The area is a good centre for walking and cycling, and for excursions to the Gorges of the Tarn and the Aveyron where canoe hire is readily available. The site managers are positive, friendly and happy to advise on excursions.

One very clean and well equipped toilet block with facilities for babies and accessible facilities. Washing machine. Motorhome service point. Bar with TV (June-Aug). Basic shop (July/Aug). Local tradesmen will deliver hot meals. Swimming pool (June-Aug). Play area.  Multisports court. WIFI in bar area. Communal barbecues.
