This is an attractively modernised, well managed, municipal city site next to the Cannstatter Wasen fairground. Situated in the outskirts of the city, but only a ten minute drive from the centre and with bus and train links just 500 m. away, it is a very convenient location. Completely fenced, the site is beside the River Neckar, with a walkway into the city, and is surprisingly green, with pretty flower beds, bushes and trees. Even though all the 234 pitches are on hardstanding, they appear green with grass growing through the honeycomb tiles. They are unmarked, have electricity hook-ups and 25 also have water and waste water connections. A separate grassy area for tents is in one corner.

Attractively fenced water and waste units and an area of good quality children’s play equipment on bark have been thoughtfully designed.

Facilities

Showers and washbasins (only a couple of private cabins at present) are of quite good quality in older buildings with heating, and are separate from the toilets. Modern accessible unit. Laundry facilities. Laundry. Motorhome services (open to public). Kiosk (Easter-end Oct; bread to order). Bistro with terrace (closed 20/12-15/1). Play area.

Location

Site is in Bad Cannstatt close to the Daimler Benz Stadium and a large car park. It is in the east of the city, signed from the B10 which can be reached from the A8 exit 55 via the B313, or the A81 exit 17 via the B327.
