This is a very large site close to the Dutch border and based around a lake, with a sandy beach area where youngsters like to swim and splash in the shallows. The campsite is set within a nature reserve, surrounded by forest and open heathland, providing a haven for wildlife.

The site has 1,000 good-sized pitches (120 sq.m), of which over half are for touring in a separate area. They are large, level and arranged in various ways, with some in secluded areas, some with hedge separation, others in open areas and in places shaded, on sandy grass with electricity (6/16A Europlug). Some 150 have fresh and waste water connections, and a designated area for groups of tents is located away from other pitches.

This site has good modern facilities, and the lake, the centrepiece of the site with its 60-metre waterslide and bridge, has separate areas for swimmers and non-swimmers.

There is a good entertainment programme and a wealth of sport and play activities for children and youngsters which include a café for teenagers, small indoor climbing wall, archery, numerous playgrounds and the beach. In 2014, pitches with a view have been provided especially for camping cars, however, those in the secluded areas may be preferred by many since they create an atmosphere of living closer to nature. Before deciding on a pitch it’s well worth having a good walk beforehand.

From A31 take exit 25 Lingen and travel west along the 213 Nordhornerstrasse to Nordhorn where north onto the 403 to Neuenhaus and Uelsen then north, still on the 403 Wilsumerstrasse to site.
