This former municipal site has been refurbished to a high standard and is operated by the owner/manager. There are 60 touring pitches, all with 10A electricity and individual water tap; four have hardstanding for motorhomes. Since our last visit, new trees, bushes and flower beds have been planted, which are now coming into maturity. The site remains smart and very well-tended. The site is in the pleasant countryside above a lake and next to a rapidly developing Base de Loisirs with watersports provision and a bar/restaurant.

There is a good, well equipped little swimming pool with a paddling area securely separated from the main pool (open and heated 1/6-30/9). The site is near the town of Loches, which has an attractive château. It is an easy drive from Tours and the many châteaux along the Loire and the Indre, including Chenonceau.

Facilities at Camping les Coteaux du Lac

Excellent sanitary block with controllable showers, some washbasins in cabins and en-suite accessible facilities. Special facilities for children. Laundry facilities. Reception sells a few basic supplies and bread can be ordered. Swimming and paddling pools (14/4-15/9). Playing field. Play equipment for different ages. Fishing. Bicycle hire. WiFi over site (charged). Chalets to rent (15) are grouped at far end of site.

Directions to Camping les Coteaux du Lac

Chemillé-sur-Indrois is 55 km. southeast of Tours and 14 km. east of Loches, just off the D760 from Loches to Montrésor. Site is to the north of this road and is signed just west of Montrésor.
