Plage de Riez is a family campsite in the heart of a 600-hectare National Forest, with direct access to a glorious sandy beach. It is a modern site and is very busy during July and August. The heated pool area is ideal for everyone, whether you want a refreshing dip, a drink on the adjacent terrace or just a chance to relax in the endless sunshine. The site has 465 pitches of which 270 are for tourers, including seven for motorhomes. Mobile homes and bungalow tents occupy some 180 pitches, some for hire. Each pitch has electricity (6A), is of average size and marked by low hedges. 

The port of Saint Giles Croix-de-Vie is well worth exploring and has some excellent quayside restaurants. For the more energetic, the many accessible cycle routes are a must. There are also many excellent day trips to choose from, with lively resorts such as St. Hilaire and St. Jean-de-Monts both just a few kilometres away.

Five sanitary blocks (two in low season) have washbasins and showers in cubicles. Accessible Facilities. Laundry. Motorhome services. Bread to order. Shop, bar, snack bar and takeaway (all July/Aug). Outdoor swimming pool (mid-May to mid-Sept). TV rooms. Aquagym. Multisports pitch. Boules. Children’s and adult’s entertainment. Bicycle hire. WiFi (charged). Electric barbecues only on pitches.

Directions to Camping de la Plage de Riez

From Challans take D753 to St Jean-de-Monts, then D38 south to Le Pissot island. Join D59 towards St Hilaire. At next island, take second exit and at next island turn right. Shortly left onto D6a (Avenue de Forêt) bear right into Avenue des Mimoses and follow site signs.
