Alan Rogers Review
This small, quiet site with its beautiful lakeside setting, surrounded by steep, tree-clad hills is now under the same ownership as IT62290. It is located at the southern edge of the Dolomites and is only 110 km. from Venice and the Adriatic. This is an ideal site to spend some time just relaxing, walking or cycling in this most attractive region. The main camping area slopes gently down to the lake and has some shade; it has 118 touring pitches, all with 4/6A electricity. There is a large area catering for both tents and caravans, plus a separate ‘Sosta’ area for motorhomes stopping over. We enjoyed the restaurant which is also used by locals.
Al Lago is a simple family run site with a bar, shady beer garden and an attractive restaurant serving good value Italian food, including a comprehensive range of pizzas. Boats and pedaloes can be hired to explore the attractive lake and the area offers many opportunities for walking, riding, cycling and mountain biking and for more extreme activities. Alternatively you could explore the Dolomites by car or take a trip to one of the nearby historic cities: Padua (76 km), Verona (136 km) or, of course, Venice.
