The site is located beside the estuary of the Segura river, alongside the pine and eucalyptus forests of the Dunas de Guardamar Natural Park. A fine sandy beach can be reached through the forest (800 m). This is a brilliant site with a vast tropical lake-style pool with a bar and a superb sports complex. There are 212 pitches on this award-winning site, 158 for touring with water, electricity (16A), drainage, high-speed internet and satellite TV points. The ground is covered with crushed marble, making the pitches clean and pleasant.

There is some shade, and the site has an open feel with lots of room for manoeuvring. Reception is housed within a delicately coloured building complete with a towering Mirador, topped by a weather vane depicting the ‘Garza real’ (heron) bird, which frequents the local area and forms part of the site logo. The large restaurant overlooks the pools and the river that leads to the sea in the near distance. The bar has large terraces fringed by trees, palms and pomegranates. The impressive pool/lagoon complex (1,100 sq.m) has a water cascade, an island bar, plus a bridge; one part is sectioned as a pool for children and a jacuzzi. The extensive sports area is also impressive. No effort has been spared here, and facilities are of the highest quality. A professional team provides a comprehensive entertainment programme for adults and children in the high season.

Directions to Alannia Guardamar Camping & Resort

From the Europa highway network, follow the AP-7 motorway that runs along the Mediterranean coast then onto the A-70 for Alicante, continuing until you reach exit 22 El Altet just south of Alicante. You should then take the N-332 highway towards Cartagena, which will take you to the Marjal Campsite, located at km 73,4. If coming from Almeria on the AP-7 take exit 770 onto the N-332 for Torrevieja and continue as above.
