Camping International Lido Luzern
Luzern is a traditional holiday resort of the British, and this site has many British visitors. It lies near the shore of Lake Luzern, just 1 mile outside the town itself. This good but expensive site (£42 in low season per night) is divided into separate sections for caravans, motorhomes and tents; the first two have hardstandings which, in effect, provide rather formal and small individual pitches with shade in parts. There are 150 marked touring pitches all with 16A electricity connections. Quiet in the early season, from late June to late August it can become full and feel rather crowded, especially in the tent section. Good English is spoken.
Camping Vitznau
Camping Vitznau is situated in the small village of the same name, above and overlooking Lake Luzern, with splendid views across the water to the mountains on the other side. It is a small, neat and tidy site very close to the delightful village on the narrow, winding, lakeside road. The 70 touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes (max length 8 m) have 15A electricity available, and all have fine views. They are on level, grassy terraces with hardstanding for motorhomes and separated by tarmac roads. There are separate places for tents. Trees provide shade in parts, and this delightful site makes an excellent base for exploring around the lake, the town of Luzern and the nearby mountains. A number of small chalet-style camping huts are available for hire.
Erlebnisbauernhof & Camping Gerbe
Camping Gerbe is located in Meierskappel (Lucerne) in the middle of Central Switzerland and offers an ideal starting point to enjoy your holidays in the idyllic setting between Lake Zug and Lake Lucerne at the foot of the local mountain "Rigi" Because the site is located in Central Switzerland in the canton of Lucerne, just 5 minutes from the Gotthard route, it is the ideal spot for a stopover. However, if you are you looking for a pitch for a longer stay or even for the season you and your family will certainly feel comfortable on this small site. The site has 60 grass pitches (some seasonal) both with and without shade. The electric hook-up points are 16amp.
TCS Camping Luzern Horw
Situated in the southern suburbs of Luzern and with easy autoroute access, this site is a very convenient base for visiting what is quite deservedly a popular tourist area. The level, grassed site provides 100 touring pitches with electricity, separated into rows by trees and hedges. It is dominated by the Pilatus mountains, over 2,000 metres high. The peaks and mountain top restaurants offer fantastic views and can be reached from Alpnachstad, on the steepest cog railway in the world or by cable car from Kriens. Access to the lake from the site is over a wooden walkway which passes through a small protected nature area.
TCS Camping Sempach
Lucerne is a very popular city in central Switzerland, and nearby Camping Sempach is an ideal base from which to visit the city and explore the surrounding countryside or, being a short way from the main A2 Basel - Chiasso motorway, is a convenient overnight stop if passing through. Ask reception for a local map showing recommended walking and cycling trails.

Central

Two of the top destinations in this region are Lake Lucerne and the Jungfrau. Lake Lucerne has breathtaking scenery and this area has activities in both summer and winter – fantastic for hiking and winter sports. If you visit the Grindelwald and Wengen in the Jungfrau it’s possible to take a track railway to the Jungfraujoch the “top of Europe” for a 360 degree view of the Alps.
