Donaupark Camping Tulln
Donaupark Camping, owned and run by the Austrian Motor Club (OAMTC), is imaginatively laid out, village style, with unmarked grass pitches grouped around six circular gravel areas. Further pitches are to the side of the hard road which links the circles and these include some with grill facilities for tents; 100 of the 120 touring pitches have electricity (3/6A) and cable TV sockets. Tall trees surrounding the site offer shade in parts. Tucked neatly away at the back of the site are 120 long stay caravans. Activities are organised in high season with guided tours around Tulln on foot, by bike and on the river by canoe.
Camping Stumpfer
This small, well appointed site with just 60 pitches is directly on the River Danube, near the small town of Schönbühel, and is a convenient night stop being near the Salzburg-Vienna autobahn. The 50 unmarked pitches for touring units, all with 10/16A electricity, are on flat grass and the site is lit at night. There is shade in most parts and a landing stage for boat trips on the Danube. The main building also houses a Gasthof, with a bar/restaurant of the same name. This is very much a family run site. The Danube cycle track runs past the site.
Aktiv Camp Purgstall Camping- & Ferienpark
A warm welcome, friendly vibe, spectacular views, and lauded 'exceptional' amenities are all yours at Austria's Aktiv Camp Purgstall Camping und Ferienpark, a family-friendly site on a small Scheibbs farm on the edge of the mountainous Ötscherland region.
Donaupark Klosterneuburg
Klosterneuburg lies just to the north of Vienna on the Danube. It is outside the city boundary, away from the noise and bustle of the famous city but only minutes away by train. Owned and run by the Austrian Motor Club (OAMTC), this site is in a park-like situation, surrounded by trees but with little shade. The 100 pitches are on the small side. However, all are accessed from hard roads, and all have 6A electricity. Alongside the site is Happyland, an amusement park with a large swimming pool (discounts for campers).
