This very popular 2.5-hectare site has direct access to a sandy beach through a pedestrian gate (with key code) and across a car park. The town centre is also only 300 m. away. Shady and level, there are 130 touring pitches, all with 10A electricity. Many pitches are on a gravel base, and a few are suitable only for smaller units. There are chalets and mobile homes (19) to rent. On-site amenities include a heated swimming pool and a good restaurant and bar. This is a popular seaside resort with 13 km. of good quality sandy beaches.

All have first-aid posts, lifeguards in season and dogs are forbidden on the sands. From the pier by the Centre Nautique, just 50 m. from the site’s rear pedestrian gate, you can catch ferries to the islands of Aix and Ré and the larger resort of La Rochelle across the bay. You can also learn to fly or take pleasure flights from the aerodrome behind the town.

Facilities at Camping Baie d’Aunis

The main centrally located sanitary unit is large, good quality and very well appointed. A smaller unit at the far end of the site has been renovated to a high standard. British style WCs, washbasins in cubicles, provision for children and accessible facilities. Laundry room at each block. Motorhome services. Bar/restaurant and takeaway (21/4-17/9). Outdoor heated swimming pool (10x20 m). Playground. Games room. TV room. Library. Multisports area. Dogs not accepted July/Aug or in rental accommodation. WiFi over site (free).

Directions to Camping Baie d’Aunis

La Tranche-sur-Mer is 35 km. south of La Roche-sur-Yon. From La Roche-sur-Yon take D747 to La Tranche. At roundabout (D747 and D1046) carry straight on to next roundabout and turn right towards town centre. At next roundabout continue straight on to site on left (well signed).
