Camping Son Bou was opened in 1996 and has been purpose built in local style providing a large, irregular shaped pool with marvellous views across to Monte Toro, and overlooked by a shady, terraced bar and restaurant. The 273 large pitches, 111 for touring units with 10A electricity, are arranged in circles radiating out from the main facilities and clearly edged with stones. Natural pine tree shade covers most but the outer ring. Drinking water and refuse points are well placed. The ground is hard and devoid of grass except where sprinklers operate.

The beautiful island of Menorca cries out to be explored. It is peaceful and tranquil, with its characteristic dry stone walls, its low white buildings with terracotta tiled roofs, its beautiful coastline, ancient monuments and pretty villages with their cycle of fiestas of religious origin with the noble horse as the central element. The site gets very busy with Spanish people from the mainland in high season. Earlier in the year it is quieter and greener. If you do not fancy the ferry crossings the site has some neat wooden chalets and ready erected tents. The site is more than happy to arrange the overnight ferry crossing from Barcelona or Valencia (discounts available).

Well designed toilet block of good quality, open plan in places. Some washbasins in cabins (cold water). Bathrooms and shower. Baby room. Accessible Facilities . Service wash. Shop, bar, restaurant, takeaway and outdoor pool (all open all season). Tennis. Play area. Bicycle hire. Open-air cinema. Occasional barbecue with guitarist. Comprehensive activity programme. English spoken. Dogs are not accepted. WiFi.

Directions to Yelloh! Village Camping Son Bou

From Mahon (Mao) follow main road to Ciutadella. Go past Alaior (bypassed) and watch for restaurant on left and sign for 3.5 km. Torre Soli Nou and campsite sign.
