Previously known as Camping Caravaning les Fayards, Camping Nature et Rivière is a family owned site strung out alongside the rushing River Tarn in the wild and beautiful Gorges du Tarn only 3 km. from the medieval town of Sainte Enimie. Come in May and June to see the wonderful flowers and butterflies with vultures soaring overhead. The 85 reasonably level grass and gravel pitches, 54 for touring, are separated by tall mature trees, most having good shade (electricity 16A). Rock pegs are advised. The local roads are winding and narrow and access to site is not straightforward. There is no evening entertainment.

The large bar/snack bar is attractive, but right on the main road and closed for much of the afternoon in low season. There are two small rocky beaches, and bathing and canoeing are very popular in the Tarn renowned for its very pure water. There are many walking, cycling and mountain bike routes and the owners can offer advice on those suitable for you. For the more adventurous there is canoeing, rafting and rock climbing. For those less adventurous there are many magnificent view points and old market towns to explore.

Adequate toilet blocks with accessible facilities. Washing machine and dryer. Bar and small shop with bread to order (closed pm in low season). Evening snacks, twice weekly in high season. Play area. Small library. Fishing. Charcoal barbecues not accepted. Free WiFi. Chalets and equipped tents to rent.

Directions to Yelloh! Village Camping Nature et Rivière

Leave the A75 at exit 40 (La Canourgue) and take D998 to Ste Enimie (28 km). Follow signs for Millau, Gorges du Tarn, D907. Site is 3 km. on the left. Approach from south not recommended. Approaching from St Enimie, turn right before site entrance into dechetterie, then swing round to cross road and enter site (not signed).
