Situated on a gentle, south-facing slope that leads down to the water’s edge of the Biggesee, Feriencamp Biggesee blends in well with its wooded surroundings. The 200 touring pitches, all with electricity, are arranged in circles at the top part of the site and on a series of wide terraces lower down. They are grassy with some hardstanding.
From the lower part of the site, there is access through a gate to a large open meadow that ends at the water’s edge where swimming is permitted. The attractive Biggesee, with arms branching out into the surrounding hills, is a watersports paradise where virtually all forms of watersports are available.
These include schools for sailing, diving and windsurfing. Close by, hundreds of kilometres of paths and cycleway lead along the lakeside and through the surrounding forests.
In summer, the site offers a wide ranging children’s entertainment programme, and in winter, skiing is only a few kilometres away from this all-year-round site.
In addition, in the surrounding Naturpark Ebbegebirge there are many places to visit ranging from underground grottoes, boat trips on the lake or, for a taste of the Wild West, the Karl-May spectacle at Elspe.
