Tattershall Lakes Country Park is an extensive park with seven lakes of varying sizes offering opportunities for enthusiasts of watersports and fishing. The pleasant village of Tattershall is within walking distance. The touring fields are flat with views across the main lake. There are 245 pitches, numbered but with no markings to separate them; all have 16A electrical connections and 25 also have individual taps, drainage & hardstanding. Ten tent pitches are on a small peninsula in the lake. Fifty-five lodges and static caravans for rent with a further 437 in private ownership.

A large pub and eatery is close to the park entrance and the nearby village has a number of small shops and pubs. Tattershall Castle (NT) is just down the road and RAF Coningsby, home to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, is close by (so some daytime aircraft noise is inevitable). Other local reminders of the Second World War include the pub used by the Dambusters. Woodhall Spa is an attractive village with a good range of shops, a top quality golf course and the Kinema in the Woods, with its traditional cinema organ. Days out include Skegness and the Lincolnshire coast, and historic Lincoln with its cathedral and castle.

Toilet block with preset showers and open-style washbasins can be busy. Accessible sanitary facilities. Washing machines and dryers. Two additional prefabricated units provide very basic en-suite units (shower, toilet, washbasin). Small, well stocked shop. Coffee shop serving meals, snacks and takeaways. Comfortable bar with discos and entertainment. Upstairs bar overlooking the lake has a TV, electronic games and darts. Water-skiing and jet-ski lakes. Four fishing lakes. Golf course. Archery. Bicycle and pedalo hire. Full programme of activities and entertainment for all ages. Brand new indoor swimming pool and spa complex, complete with lake view hot tubs. Artificial beach. Outdoor entertainment area with floating stage and amphitheatre style seating. All facilities available all season. WiFi (free).

Directions to Tattershall Lakes

Tattershall is 22 miles southeast of Lincoln on the A153 Sleaford/Horncastle road, 14 miles northeast of Sleaford. Park is on the western edge of the village between the River Witham and Tattershall Castle.
