Alan Rogers Review of Sites et Paysages Au Gré des Vents
Sites et Paysages Au Gré des Vents is a quiet family site in wooded countryside, 600 m. from the town. Philippe and Benedicte Lambert purchased this neat, tidy and organised site in 2001. There are 85 pitches (66 for tourers, 43 with 6/10A electricity) of reasonable size (80-150 sq.m) on neat grass on two levels. With limited electrical hook-ups, the upper level is flat, and pitches are divided by young shrubs. The lower level is partly sloping with mature trees, shade and electricity on all pitches.
The reception and bar are at the site's entrance, just beyond the security gate. Other on-site facilities include a covered swimming pool, a children's playground with a trampoline, table tennis, a football pitch, and a basketball court. During the summer months, activities are organised for the whole family. There is also live music in July and August. Various catering trucks also stop at the site in the evenings during summer.
Rochefort-en-Terre itself is a marvellous medieval town, beautifully preserved and only ten minutes walk from the site, with a wealth of art and craft workshops, antique shops and art galleries.

The modern heated sanitary block is kept very clean and includes large, comfortable showers, cabins with washbasins and British-style WCs. Accessible facilities. Baby room. Laundry facilities with washing lines. Motorhome services. Bread delivered each morning. Bar. Takeaway. Indoor heated swimming pool (Seasonal). Tennis. Football area. Two play areas. WiFi (charged).
Directions to Sites et Paysages Au Gré des Vents
From Redon take D775 Vannes road west for 25 km. Branch north on D774 signed Rochefort-en-Terre. Follow road past the lake on left, in 800 m. pass a car park, then turn at the next sharp left, follow sign to site up a narrow lane.
