Alan Rogers Review of Ohai Nazaré Resort
Ohai Nazare Outdoor Resort is a pleasant, well-managed site, formerly known as Vale Paraiso. Its reception and amenities buildings create a good impression and a warm welcome is offered.
Occupying eight hectares of undulating pine woods, the site has over 250 shady pitches, mainly in the valley and on terraces on either side. Many are occupied by seasonal units, but there are around 220 marked pitches of varying sizes with 6/10A electricity available.
Others pitches on sandy ground are suitable for tents and there are areas occupied by chalets, canvas bungalows and teepees for rent. Many of the pitches have electricity, water and wastewater/chemical disposal.
Several long beaches of white sand are within a few kilometres allowing windsurfing, sailing, surfing and body-boarding. Nazaré was an old fishing village with narrow streets, a harbour and a lift to Sitio at the top of the cliffs to the north; with the addition of a marina and many outdoor bars and cafés, it has become a pleasant little resort. There is much of historical interest in the area, including Leiria, where the streets of the old town are lined with trendy shops, and the famous shrine of Fátima, although the mild Atlantic climate is also conducive to just relaxing.
Facilities at Ohai Nazaré Resort
Four sanitary blocks are equipped with showers and private washing cubicles. Washing machines and dryers. Restaurant. Heated outdoor pool, slide swimming pool, spa, kids playground, gym and sports areas (padel court, volleyball). Activity and entertainment programmes (during school holidays). Surf lessons, bike-rent, free WiFi throughout.

Ohai Nazaré Outdoor Resort is situated in Nazaré, 130 km north from Lisbon. At the A8 motorway exit 22, head west on IC9 toward Nazaré, then turn north on N242 Marinha Grande. The campsite is on the left and is well signposted from all directions.
