On a steep hillside in the Rhine-Taunus Nature Park and approached by a scenic drive along a narrow system of roads through the vineyards, this site is arranged on small terraces on the side of a wooded hill with a stream flowing through – the water supply is direct from springs. The surroundings are most attractive with views over the vineyards to the river below. Of the 60 pitches, 35 are available for touring units. These are mostly on the lower terraces, in groups of up to four units. All have electricity (16A Europlugs) and five are fully serviced. Cars are parked away from the pitches near the entrance.

The site is popular for small caravan rallies. A central block contains a very pleasant restaurant and small shop for basics (bread to order), with sanitary facilities alongside. With steep walks from most pitches to the facilities, this is probably not a site for visitors with disabilities; however, it is an attractive situation and reception staff are very friendly. This particular area is famous as it was briefly a free state (1919-23). You can buy local wines and other items as souvenirs. There are many local attractions (as well as the Lorelei) shown on a large map, and the helpful owner speaks good English.

The excellent toilet block is heated in cool weather and provides some washbasins in cabins for each sex and a nicely furnished room for children with WC, shower and bath. Laundry service. Motorhome services. Gas supplies. Restaurant (closed Mon. and Thurs). Small shop (bread to order). Small play area. Some entertainment in season. WiFi on part of site.

Directions to Naturpark Camping Suleika

Site is 8 km. northwest of Rudesheim. Direct entrance road from B42 (cars only), between Rudesheim and Lorch (2.25 m. height limit under railway bridge). Higher vehicles will find site signed on south side of Lorch via a one-way system (one-way for caravans and motorhomes only; watch out for oncoming tractors/cars!).
