Naturisten Camping Abtswoudse Hoeve is a naturist site, set in 15 hectares alongside a lake with a small sandy beach and good swimming. It is just south of Delft and close to Rotterdam. There are 120 seasonal pitches and 45 level, grassy touring pitches arranged around open meadows, many have 10A electricity (Europlug). Cars are parked in a separate area.
There are some organised activities, mainly walking and cycling tours. Being close to some large towns, many interesting places are within easy reach by bike. The swimming lake is said to have the cleanest water in the area, maintained using natural filtration methods.
Part of the site is delimited for nature conservation devoted to birds, wildlife and wildflowers. Nearby is a unique experimental bee hotel, a university-run conservation scheme.
The site is close to Delft and cycle tours are possible, sometimes under the guidance of a club member who can take you to little known areas. The cycle routes are well marked and safe. Delft is a charming city with many examples of the typical blue tiles, and it is even possible to find lamp posts in this style. Canals and waterways abound in the city and tourists can enjoy a boat ride. The site is close to a bus route, and from Delft station the train journey to Rotterdam or The Hague takes just a few minutes.
