Les Hameaux de Pomette is an attractive chalet park open all year round. Ideally situated in a lesser known region of France bordered by the departments of the Lot and the Dordogne, it is an open site in wooded valley and a good base for those seeking a quieter holiday in an area known for its culture, nature and gastronomy. The 42 modern chalets are spacious and well equipped with all necessary facilities and have solar panels on the roof to reduce the consumption of electricity. There are three chalets specially adapted for visitors with disabilities. There is a heated swimming pool that can be covered in cooler weather. Please note that this site does not accept touring units.
To the north lies the River Dordogne with its many perched castles and caves famous for their ancient wall paintings. To the south is the valley of the River Lot with its picturesque villages. To the west are the ancient and fortified bastide towns founded during the 100 years war between England and France. Gourdon, a medieval town 18 km. away, is the nearest large town of interest with its market and many traditional shops selling local produce.
